FAQ
1. Does e-Residency give me Estonian residency/EU residency/interfere with my current residency
status? NO. e-Residency does not interfere with your current residency status nor can you
use it for travel.
2. Does it offer lower taxes? Companies that are Estonian tax residents can benefit from 0%
income tax on retained and reinvested profits. It does not interfere with your personal taxes.
Company’s tax residency depends on a number of details.
3. Is it hard to get bank account for your business? Conventional bank account might be a
challenge but there are number of Fintech alternatives that are very good.
4. What is the cost of starting a business with e-Residency? 100 euros for e-Residency. 190 euros
for company registration state fee. 10-100 euros a month for virtual address, authenticated
contact person, accounting…
5. How long does it take to set everything up? 30-60 days for to get e-Residency. 1 day to set
incorporate company. A couple of days for banking (depends on a variety of details).

Estonian Digital Nomad Visa
● Estonia is planning to introduce a digital nomad visa that would enable digital
nomads to work and travel in Estonia for up to 365 days.
● The digital nomad visa would also give these digital nomads access to the
Schengen Area, allowing them to travel in other EU member states for up to
90 days.
