1. Let’s move on to the EXCITING STUFF At the first meeting the group discussed the concept of how a non-profit café sustains, and steps to becoming a non-profit.
2. Many hadn’t attended the meeting because their interest didn’t lie with forming a non-profit, but making it come to life… All of this information is available from a previous Powerpoint presentation, and meeting notes.

8. A new look/identity for Rockwood Making the café something special through art and a “new look.” It was discussed at the last meeting that there were many benefits to the location, but it doesn’t stand out. It was discussed that changes would have to be arranged with the landlord…and the City. The mural to your right is one of the many projects started for community murals…

10. Volunteers can be baristas, wanna-be baristas, musicians for music nights, someone to coordinate an events or multiple events, someone to handle internet details, or promotion and marketing RUNNING THE CAFÉ:/VOLUNTEERS: Can you find volunteers, set up a plan to recruit volunteers, or be a volunteer? By the end of this meeting (and the one tomorrow) we will know whether there is enough of a volunteer commitment to move forward on pursuing turning Park Place Coffee into a non-profit café. If you have any interest in any activity, please share that information on the sheet available!
