The document warns that text styles can prevent resumes from loading properly into applicant tracking systems (ATS). Certain styled text, like names formatted with extra spaces, may cause the ATS to not recognize the name or see the entire resume as empty. It recommends highlighting styled text, removing all formatting, and manually removing any extra spaces in order to avoid ATS recognition issues and ensure the resume is properly processed.
11. My best guess – Which I hate doing..
Some resume-templates are becoming out-
of-date with newer versions of Windows…
or the style-tool in those templates are no
longer supported as font styles change…
?
12. Technically – Its NOT the Spaces
There is a style-corruption issue in the ATS input field
– which if NOT fixed by manually removing the
spaces (yes, I tried this thinking it was my keyboard).
The ATS field “reads” as a “null” for my fellow ATS
Geeks.
