My College Life at Princeton
Freshman Year: Just arriving, visualizing the environment of Princeton. The feeling of having the
opportunity to be at Princeton excites me. I walk towards the freshman orientation, I feel
nervous. It is my first day at Princeton University and I just received my schedule! I am amazed
at the courses Princeton offers and while choosing my courses, I meet my first friend name
Johanna. She was a skinny, blond girl from the south with a lot of books in her hand and wore
glasses." She has an amazing personality" I thought to myself while speaking to her. After talking
for a while, I suggest we go to a diner called Princetonian Diner. After eating, I waved goodbye to
her and went off to find my dorm room. I see I have dorm 101, I feel excited knowing I found my
first friend Johanna and hope to continue my day with more great news. While inside my dorm
room, unpacking and getting settled, I hear the door open. I turn around and see a guy with
glasses, a red shirt, black hair, blue jeans, and a pair of van shoes. We both introduced ourselves. I
asked what his name was. He responded,"My name is Hiro Princeton, but usually everyone calls
me Kabuki." We both laugh hysterically. He says,"I know, my last name gets a lot of recognition." I
responded in a generous laugh and helped him unpacked. We talked for 5–10 minutes to get to know
each other. I found out he is an international student from Japan. I asked him on the meaning of his
nickname "Kabuki". He told me when he was a child, he

Amory's Matriculation To Princeton Essay
Amory interiorizes the conformity that Moretti describes on survival upon matriculation to
Princeton. His life becomes a fraud as his daily interactions grow predicated upon what Moretti
refers to as the curbing of "intrinsically boundless dynamism" (6). In essence, Amory restrains his
role as a dynamic character in his pursuit of mastery of social structure and popularity. This
obsession is alluded to and eventually cemented in his first year at Princeton. Walking into
Princeton, he concedes his fascination as he "watched each rank of linked arms" pass by with
"voices blent" (45). His admiration of the football team's pack mentality and high position on campus
provides insight into his willingness to compromise his character as well as into his
overconcentration with trivialities...show more content...
Right as the character attains a realistic world view, Moretti proposes that the protagonist is forced
to face a major decision: Should he abandon his values for conformity or continue to pursue his
personal goals in the face of failure? Such a double bind implies Moretti's belief that a
bildungsroman presents two undesirable situations for a character and he or she must choose
between the lesser of two evils: self–betrayal or failure. Moretti describes that bildungsroman
characters grow "far less ambitious than synthesis" (Moretti 10). Likewise, Amory realizes the
difficulty of remaining unique and grows "decidedly unheroic," using inaction as a "tool for
survival" (Moretti 10). Admittedly, Amory reaches an ingenuine but high social position on campus,
thus embodying his active pursuit of conformity. Through his entrance into elite clubs, Amory
capitulates to conformity and eventually solidifies his decision to become "one of the gods of his
class"

The Main Features Of Princeton Wordnet
In this section, we review the main features of Princeton WordNet as well as some other general
and specialized WordNets in different languages. A general WordNet covers all domains in a
language. Therefore, a deep knowledge of language is required for its construction. However, a
specialized WordNet covers words in a specific domain like agriculture, medicine, and computer
science. Here, in addition to language knowledge, expertise in that domain is also required.
2–1–Semantic Network of Words
WordNet is an enhanced dictionary in which words are classified based on their meanings. In
WordNet, synonym words are grouped in a structure called synset. Each synset represents a
separate concept. However, there are several differences between a WordNet and a dictionary.
First, a WordNet not only connects lexical part of words, but also connects their concepts.
Therefore, words located close to each other in the WordNet have also semantic proximity. Second,
WordNet tags the semantic relation between words; while the classification of words in a classical
dictionary is only based on their lexical similarity and it does not specify any semantic relation
between words.
Synsets are interlinked to each other by using semantic as well as lexical relations. Some
well–known semantic relations in the WordNet are hypernym/hyponym, meronym/holonym, and
domain relationships.
There are several ways to construct a WordNet: manual, semi–automatic, and automatic. In manual
method, human experts

Princeton Commons Management Case Study
January 26,2016 – Brick, NJ– Although much of the state was cleared by Monday from the 27+
inches of snow from Blizzard Jonas, the residents of Princeton Commons were snowed in for
several days.. Princeton Commons is an over 55 community; where residents pay a management
company for lawn care and snow removal. Many of the resident's advanced age and health refrains
them from going out and shoveling snow. Now you might ask, why were the residents of Princeton
Commons snowed in if they had people to do it? Princeton Commons Management brought in a new
snow removal company for the 2015–2016 winter season. The people shoveling during the blizzard,
walked off the job! They walked off the job because the 27 inches was too overwhelming for

My life is all about problem solving: managing to live a difficult life in America after turning
thirteen, finding "out of the box" to achieve my goals in debate, art, and HOSA, helping other
teenagers with problems they struggle with... Designing a seemingly impossible pathway for me
and others to succeed is my way of life, and a chemical engineer takes that to the next level.
Everything around us –– from a bar of soup to a bucket of paint –– involves chemical engineering.
The profession is not only about my favorite subjects, chemistry and math, but also about creating
ideas, innovation, and new technology. This is what chemical engineers do, solving problems not

1st at the Chadron Scholastic Chemistry Contest, 1st (twice) at the 2011 and 2012 West River

Nevertheless, my current living situation offers me limited opportunities to explore the world of
chemical engineering. Attending XXX University would mean the world to me –– giving me a
chance to pursue my dreams with renowned professors such as XXX in an advanced laboratory and
with people who share the same interests. At Princeton University, I can further explore the world of
chemical engineering through Freshmen seminars, once again working with my peers. I am
especially interested in the fall seminar Materials World at Mathey College, learning the technical
processing and applications of materials around us. In addition, the spring seminar Emerging Micro
and Nano–Engineered Technologies at Rockefeller College can also give me the opportunity to
deepen my understanding of engineering.
On top of everything, Princeton offers me amazing research opportunities I cannot find anywhere
else. I intend to arrange summer employment at Princeton doing research with faculty members. I

Personal Narrative: Mckinney To Princeton
Born and raised in Texas, i lived with both my parents. The most important move we had was from
McKinney to Princeton. While living in McKinney, I lived close to both my grandma and aunt. We
were always able to see them and my cousins.
When we moved, I was surprised at how fifteen minutes could separate us all.
Princeton was the complete opposite of McKinney. It's rural and and under–renovated, and had
absolutely nothing to do. My neighborhood was far away form all the other kids so making friends
outside of school hard to do. School was an entirely different story. Starting the fourth grade is
scary for anyone but, starting it in a different school is worse. I knew no one and tried my best to
hang onto my friends form my old school. Soon, it became harder and...show more content...
This didn't stop until high school when there were more important things besides where I lived.
Most people hated their high school experience while I can't say my time there was anything but
average. I wasn't bullied, I had friends, I played varsity sports and made good grades. The only
problem that made itself known was how separate it was even after growing up there for ten
years. I always witnessed racial discrimination between students and could never do anything
about it because my teaching staff would either diminish the situation or blame it on the wrong
party. Princeton has always been a close knit community which can be both a blessing and a
curse. Because of this, there has always been a divide between races. Living in Princeton has
taught me that being stuck in your ways will get you no where. Most of the community grew up
together and are not open to diversity. Now my town is growing and new people are moving in
while the old are moving away. Now, there is chatter of moving because their town is not longer
how it used to be. Having the opportunity to move somewhere more diverse would mean the world
to me because, it would give me the chance to

June Princeton's Argumentative Essay
When June Princeton is fifteen years old, she dyes her hair black. It was something June did
without much thought, more on whim than on logic. She knows that her dye job isn't
particularly good, and her brown roots are still visible. But, June was satisfied with the end
results. Her uncles finds out about her new hairstyle that evening when June comes marching
down the stairs with black hair. Instead of being greeted with what June believe was inky silk
tresses, they came face to face with what resembles a group of scraggly black seaweed atop her
head. Uncle Slade was snickering behind his hand, while Uncle Jagger was making a noise akin to
a dying gazelle. June just gave them a big grin and said, "Pretty stylish, huh?" (In the end, they

It's easy to assume that June is not related to her uncles. June is lightly tan with brown hair, while
her uncles are pale with black hair. But she holds the same cynical and sarcastic attitude like they
do and have the same temperament issues, so she loses her temper at the drop of a hat and sasses
her uncles, and they would snapped back at her until all three of their voices are bouncing off the
walls. The fights are a relatively normal thing in the household, and the words being thrown aren't
necessarily true. Snide comments and sassy retorts are part of the routine. "Was he like us?" June
asks Uncle Slade one day, after informing him that his workaholic attitude will never get him a
wife and he tells her that no man would want to date a girl like her. "Who?" Uncle Slade asks,
eyes glued to the computer screen and fingers flying across the keyboard. She thinks that he looks
more tired and stressed as time goes on. He still looks young, as though he hasn't aged a day since
he turned forty, but his bones are cracking and the shadows under his eyes are becoming more
prominent. He needs a break, but it's not as if he is willing to take one. "My father. Was he like

The design and traditions of schools differ greatly around the world. Devon is a fictional school in

well. There are many similarities and differences between the two schools, Devon and Princeton.
Both of the schools have student bodies, faculty, academic courses, buildings and grounds, and

similarities, but the differences from one another are what make them unique. The student body is a

Devon's buildings and grounds are like an archipelago. The design of Devon consists of many
different buildings that are all connected by sidewalks. The buildings at Devon contain basic
necessities for a school, for example "The gym was at the other end of the school, a quarter of a
mile away at least,.."(104). In addition, Devon's campus contained the Far Common, First Academy
Building, Center Common, and Field House. Devon also has woods and rivers near its location, due
to its rural position. However, Princeton High School's buildings and grounds consist of one large
building, and one workshop. All of the classes that Devon acquired, and more, are all contained in
the two buildings at Princeton. Similarly, Princeton and Devon both contain playing fields and
tennis courts.
Devon and Princeton High School both have a particular attitude towards sports. Essentially, Devon
doesn't have many choices for athletics, that's why they make up their own. For example, in A
Separate Peace, "'Now this, you see, is everything in the world you need for sports. When they
discovered the circle they created sports. As for this thing'"(28).

As a whole, the average American family will spend around one third of their income on goods
and services that are considered to be unnecessary (not direct quote, citing source of statistic,
Singer, 230). This spending phenomenon is brought to light by the writing of Peter Singer, a moral
philosopher at Princeton University, who presents a solution to poverty around the world by
arguing the American's habit of spending is immoral due to the consequence of the suffering of
those in poverty that could be prevented if the money was donated to their cause as opposed to
being spent on items that are not necessities. As an objection, I will claim Singer's argument is
invalid due to the assumptions and implications Singer uses in relation to Mackie's Error Theory,
which is an argument based upon there being no universal and objective moral values or facts, and
through this theory present Singer's contradiction of himself that creates structural issues for his
argument. Singer presents his argument through the sharing of two unique stories; the Brazilian
film "Central Station", and the story of Bob and his Bugatti, originally presented by New York
University philosopher Peter Unger. In the case of "Central Station", Singer explains the story of
Dora, a Brazilian woman who makes just enough to make ends meet, and therefore does not have
any extra money to spend on non–essential things. One day Dora is told she can make $1000 by

  • 2. My College Life at Princeton Freshman Year: Just arriving, visualizing the environment of Princeton. The feeling of having the opportunity to be at Princeton excites me. I walk towards the freshman orientation, I feel nervous. It is my first day at Princeton University and I just received my schedule! I am amazed at the courses Princeton offers and while choosing my courses, I meet my first friend name Johanna. She was a skinny, blond girl from the south with a lot of books in her hand and wore glasses." She has an amazing personality" I thought to myself while speaking to her. After talking for a while, I suggest we go to a diner called Princetonian Diner. After eating, I waved goodbye to her and went off to find my dorm room. I see I have dorm 101, I feel excited knowing I found my first friend Johanna and hope to continue my day with more great news. While inside my dorm room, unpacking and getting settled, I hear the door open. I turn around and see a guy with glasses, a red shirt, black hair, blue jeans, and a pair of van shoes. We both introduced ourselves. I asked what his name was. He responded,"My name is Hiro Princeton, but usually everyone calls me Kabuki." We both laugh hysterically. He says,"I know, my last name gets a lot of recognition." I responded in a generous laugh and helped him unpacked. We talked for 5–10 minutes to get to know each other. I found out he is an international student from Japan. I asked him on the meaning of his nickname "Kabuki". He told me when he was a child, he Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Amory's Matriculation To Princeton Essay Amory interiorizes the conformity that Moretti describes on survival upon matriculation to Princeton. His life becomes a fraud as his daily interactions grow predicated upon what Moretti refers to as the curbing of "intrinsically boundless dynamism" (6). In essence, Amory restrains his role as a dynamic character in his pursuit of mastery of social structure and popularity. This obsession is alluded to and eventually cemented in his first year at Princeton. Walking into Princeton, he concedes his fascination as he "watched each rank of linked arms" pass by with "voices blent" (45). His admiration of the football team's pack mentality and high position on campus provides insight into his willingness to compromise his character as well as into his overconcentration with trivialities...show more content... Right as the character attains a realistic world view, Moretti proposes that the protagonist is forced to face a major decision: Should he abandon his values for conformity or continue to pursue his personal goals in the face of failure? Such a double bind implies Moretti's belief that a bildungsroman presents two undesirable situations for a character and he or she must choose between the lesser of two evils: self–betrayal or failure. Moretti describes that bildungsroman characters grow "far less ambitious than synthesis" (Moretti 10). Likewise, Amory realizes the difficulty of remaining unique and grows "decidedly unheroic," using inaction as a "tool for survival" (Moretti 10). Admittedly, Amory reaches an ingenuine but high social position on campus, thus embodying his active pursuit of conformity. Through his entrance into elite clubs, Amory capitulates to conformity and eventually solidifies his decision to become "one of the gods of his class" Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. The Main Features Of Princeton Wordnet In this section, we review the main features of Princeton WordNet as well as some other general and specialized WordNets in different languages. A general WordNet covers all domains in a language. Therefore, a deep knowledge of language is required for its construction. However, a specialized WordNet covers words in a specific domain like agriculture, medicine, and computer science. Here, in addition to language knowledge, expertise in that domain is also required. 2–1–Semantic Network of Words WordNet is an enhanced dictionary in which words are classified based on their meanings. In WordNet, synonym words are grouped in a structure called synset. Each synset represents a separate concept. However, there are several differences between a WordNet and a dictionary. First, a WordNet not only connects lexical part of words, but also connects their concepts. Therefore, words located close to each other in the WordNet have also semantic proximity. Second, WordNet tags the semantic relation between words; while the classification of words in a classical dictionary is only based on their lexical similarity and it does not specify any semantic relation between words. Synsets are interlinked to each other by using semantic as well as lexical relations. Some well–known semantic relations in the WordNet are hypernym/hyponym, meronym/holonym, and domain relationships. There are several ways to construct a WordNet: manual, semi–automatic, and automatic. In manual method, human experts Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. My life is all about problem solving: managing to live a difficult life in America after turning thirteen, finding "out of the box" to achieve my goals in debate, art, and HOSA, helping other teenagers with problems they struggle with... Designing a seemingly impossible pathway for me and others to succeed is my way of life, and a chemical engineer takes that to the next level. Everything around us –– from a bar of soup to a bucket of paint –– involves chemical engineering. The profession is not only about my favorite subjects, chemistry and math, but also about creating ideas, innovation, and new technology. Nevertheless, my current living situation offers me limited opportunities to explore the world of chemical engineering. Attending XXX University would mean the world to me –– giving me a chance to pursue my dreams with renowned professors such as XXX in an advanced laboratory and with people who share the same interests. At Princeton University, I can further explore the world of chemical engineering through Freshmen seminars, once again working with my peers. I am especially interested in the fall seminar Materials World at Mathey College, learning the technical processing and applications of materials around us. In addition, the spring seminar Emerging Micro and Nano–Engineered Technologies at Rockefeller College can also give me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of engineering. On top of everything, Princeton offers me amazing research opportunities I cannot find anywhere else. I intend to arrange summer employment at Princeton doing research with faculty members. • 8. Personal Narrative: Mckinney To Princeton Born and raised in Texas, i lived with both my parents. The most important move we had was from McKinney to Princeton. While living in McKinney, I lived close to both my grandma and aunt. We were always able to see them and my cousins. When we moved, I was surprised at how fifteen minutes could separate us all. Princeton was the complete opposite of McKinney. It's rural and and under–renovated, and had absolutely nothing to do. My neighborhood was far away form all the other kids so making friends outside of school hard to do. School was an entirely different story. Starting the fourth grade is scary for anyone but, starting it in a different school is worse. I knew no one and tried my best to hang onto my friends form my old school. Soon, it became harder and...show more content... This didn't stop until high school when there were more important things besides where I lived. Most people hated their high school experience while I can't say my time there was anything but average. I wasn't bullied, I had friends, I played varsity sports and made good grades. The only problem that made itself known was how separate it was even after growing up there for ten years. I always witnessed racial discrimination between students and could never do anything about it because my teaching staff would either diminish the situation or blame it on the wrong party. Princeton has always been a close knit community which can be both a blessing and a curse. Because of this, there has always been a divide between races. Living in Princeton has taught me that being stuck in your ways will get you no where. Most of the community grew up together and are not open to diversity. Now my town is growing and new people are moving in while the old are moving away. Now, there is chatter of moving because their town is not longer how it used to be. She knows that her dye job isn't particularly good, and her brown roots are still visible. But, June was satisfied with the end results. Her uncles finds out about her new hairstyle that evening when June comes marching down the stairs with black hair. Instead of being greeted with what June believe was inky silk tresses, they came face to face with what resembles a group of scraggly black seaweed atop her head. The fights are a relatively normal thing in the household, and the words being thrown aren't necessarily true. Snide comments and sassy retorts are part of the routine. "Was he like us?" June asks Uncle Slade one day, after informing him that his workaholic attitude will never get him a wife and he tells her that no man would want to date a girl like her. "Who?" Uncle Slade asks, eyes glued to the computer screen and fingers flying across the keyboard. She thinks that he looks more tired and stressed as time goes on. He still looks young, as though he hasn't aged a day since he turned forty, but his bones are cracking and the shadows under his eyes are becoming more prominent. There are many qualities that appear in Devon School. However, there are many qualities that appear in Princeton High School as well. There are many similarities and differences between the two schools, Devon and Princeton. Both of the schools have student bodies, faculty, academic courses, buildings and grounds, and attitudes towards sports, that are all comparable and contrastable. In addition, Devon's campus contained the Far Common, First Academy Building, Center Common, and Field House. Devon also has woods and rivers near its location, due to its rural position. However, Princeton High School's buildings and grounds consist of one large building, and one workshop. All of the classes that Devon acquired, and more, are all contained in the two buildings at Princeton. Similarly, Princeton and Devon both contain playing fields and tennis courts. Devon and Princeton High School both have a particular attitude towards sports. Essentially, Devon doesn't have many choices for athletics, that's why they make up their own. For example, in A Separate Peace, "'Now this, you see, is everything in the world you need for sports. When they discovered the circle they created sports. As for this thing'"(28).
