flowers in June and August.
In Romania is very rare in the Carpathian mountains in
the north-east and south.

It grows in meadows on limestone mountains, sunny
slopes or cliffs. In Romania it grows in the
Carpathians and was declared a natural monument
in 1933 and protected.
In Romania the plant reaches only up to a height of
20 cm.
Inflorescence is clothed with hairy leaves, some bigger,
some smaller and which take the form of stars.
