3. Some of our school children, while in school,
We Don’t see them laughing around
Less smile on their faces
No friends
Always feeling dejected
Less confident
Feels isolated
Why?
4. It’s the Language problem
Those students’ mother tongue is Hindi
Their parents and their surroundings speak mostly Hindi.
Teachers don’t know Hindi and those Hindi students don’t
understand Tamil. It’s an obstacle in the teaching–learning
process also.
Because of the lack of communication, they couldn’t befriend
their classmates.
And that’s the cause of no twinkle in the eyes of the children.
5.
6. To make students believe that they can overcome this language
problem themselves and can help their Hindi friends in
learning Tamil language.
In our school, two Hindi students can understand both Hindi
and Tamil well. They can act as a translator.
We formed two teams. Each team consists of
One Translator
Hindi students who knows only Hindi
Tamil students who are happy to learn Hindi
from Hindi students
7.
8. We set companions. Games were conducted to cement the relationship
between the two language groups.
We Celebrated Rakshabandhan and decided to celebrate all the upcoming
festivals like Holy, Dhasara.
Students exchanged and learned what they know like dance, rhymes,
songs, games in other language happily.
Every day, students spent half an hour in the evening for other language
learning.
Hindi students gave a speech in Tamil on Independence day and Tamil
students sang a Hindi song in the same event.
Hindi students are encouraged to perform in both Hindi and Tamil also
