We are excited about our Belize Campaign for 2018! On March 23rd
a group of 22 members of our congrega-
tion will depart for the country of Belize. This will be the 49th
consecutive campaign to this small country in
Central America. All the planning and preparation that is required for this group to spend a week in a foreign
country has been completed. Schedules, plans and arrangements have been made, supplies and materials
are packed and ready to go, campaigners are studying teaching materials and sermons are being prepared.
A small group will travel to Corozal to work with the members of that congregation and the remaining group
will stay in Belize City.
This campaign will be different from the previous ones. After 35 years, Brother Melvin Davis is no longer the
minister for the Belize City Church of Christ. As God often does, He closes one door and opens another.
Brother Melvin left five months ago and this congregation is currently working together as a body of the
Lord’s Church.
Pictured below is the leadership group of the Belize City congregation. Their responsibilities include preach-
ing, Bible study, financial matters and evangelism.
The church is growing. They are knocking doors, conducting personal Bible studies and reaching out to the
community. As a result, two young men were recently baptized.
Our goal for this campaign remains the same, “Go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature”,
Mark 16:15. We will knock doors, invite those we meet to the Gospel meeting and offer personal Bible stud-
ies.
The Belize City leadership group has requested help in developing their skills as leaders. As encouragement
in this area, Richard Harp will conduct a daily “How to Study the Bible” / How to prepare a sermon class for
these men. Two other ministers from local congregations will also attend this class.
We also want to encourage all the members to continue to understand their value in God’s plan, to realize
they are simply instruments of God and He will use them if they submit to his will. The goal is to make disci-
ples not just baptize, and help those who are baptized see it as the START of their Christian walk and not the
end.
Please pray for the success of this campaign, pray for those we study with, pray for the churches in Belize
City and Corozal, and pray for our safety.
MISSION SUNDAY is May 6th
. This campaign would not be possible without the generous

Are Your Feet Beautiful?
The message we are to carry to all the world
is one that delivers us not from the tyranny of some
physical power but from the power of sin. We began
looking at the horror of sin because of what it does
to us.
In addition to the shame that it brings, sin also
brings toil, anguish and sorrow. As punishment for
having chosen to sin, Adam was told by God, –
“Because you have heeded the voice of your
wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I
commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of
it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil
you shall eat of it all the days of your life. 18
Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for
you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 In
the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till
you return to the ground, For out of it you were
taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall
return” (Gen. 3:17-19). Additionally sin destroys
society – brother kills brother, every imagination of
man’s heart would be only of evil and that continu-
ally. Sin scars; it haunts the memory. Sin separates
(Gen. 3:24; Isa. 59:2). Sin weakens and leads to
more sin. Look at David! Sin brings death (Rom.
5:12). Only the gospel can save us from our sin.
James 1:21- “Therefore lay aside all filthiness
and overflow of wickedness, and receive with
meekness the implanted word, which is able to
save your souls.” Rom. 1:16 – “For I am not
ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the
power of God to salvation for everyone who be-
lieves, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
That’s why we need to take THE GOSPEL into all
the world!
What a task! How can we hope to do that? We
need to realize that God will supply the help we
need! The gospel is now for all nations. In Mark’s
account we are told to preach the gospel to “every
creature,” to every individual. God does not want a
single individual to be left out. It was done in the
first century for Paul tells us in Col. 1:23, “If indeed
you continue in the faith, grounded and stead-
fast, and are not moved away from the hope of
the gospel which you heard, which was
preached to every creature under heaven, of
which I, Paul, became a minister.” The estimated
population at that time was between 300-500 mil-
lion. I know the world’s population has grown tre-
mendously since that time to over 7 billion, but it is
still possible.

Deerfoot children, lunch will be at 12 pm, and
the Easter egg hunt will start about 1:30 pm.
There will be two age groups, Toddlers thru
Kindergarten and first grade thru Fifth grade.
The Youth group will be hiding the eggs.
Hotdogs will be provided; This is what you
need to bring:
Desserts: Cookies, Cup Cakes, cole slaw,
potato salad, or baked beans
Sign up sheet is in the foyer
You will also need to bring a dozen plastic
eggs with candy in them and a basket to
hunt eggs.

her cousin, Teresa Butler.

Don Caverno. His funeral was Tuesday in Besse-

The executive leadership team at Holman
would like to thank all those that continue to give
hygiene items to be used for our indigent inmates
at Holman. This is a tremendous contribution to
curving the violence at Holman. By contributing
to this program, these inmates are less likely to
borrow from other inmates that can sometimes
