2. JONAS
Jonas faced adversity because he could
not express his feelings like his sister.

3. Jonas
 Jonas overcame his adversity, by being
himself. In the beginning he pretended to do
things, he did not know how to do in order to
impress Fiona. Once he realized the act was
not working, he decided to be himself, which
allowed him to conquer his fear.

4. Zebra
 Adam was hit by a car, which resulted in an arm
injury. He loved to run and was the fastest
runner around the neighborhood. His injury
created an adversity, since his Doctor orders
were not to run until he recovers.

5. Zebra
 Adam (also known as Zebra) overcame his
adversity by learning how to do things with his
other hand like eating, drawing, and tying his
shoe, etc.

6. Titanic
 The Titanic hit an iceberg and
sunk the ship, which created an
adversity for Ruth Becker and
others.
 During the accident, Ruth could
not find her husband. Therefore,
Ruth and her children went to
the deck without him. The
children were separated from the
adults, so Ruth could not ride the
same lifeboat as her oldest child.
As a result, she became upset
because of the separation.

7. Titanic
Ruth had to deal
with the fact that
she no longer had
her husband, but
 h
she had her
children and that
was good
enough.

8. REFLECTION PAGE
 The three people I chose all had different
adversities. Those adversities included a ship
accident, arm injury, and fear of communication.
 They overcame the adversities in different
ways. With the care and support from family
and friends, they were able to get through them.
