Technology is quickly growing and changing. It has made it easier to
obtain higher education by allowing people to complete their degrees
online.
• Quality of the courses depends on the institution, instructor, and the available
resources.
• Alternative to traditional face-to face learning environment.
• Great for individuals with busy schedules.
Advantages
• Convenience and flexibility
• Learn at your own pace
• Access learning materials at anytime
• Easily accessible from almost anywhere
Disadvantages
• Employers may doubt authenticity of degree
• Institution may lack accreditation
• Loss of immediate feedback
• Lower sense of community

employee well-being in any business, no matter how small.
• Key areas of focus include training, compensation and benefits,
employee relations, and recruiting.

Methods of Instruction
• People that are interested in going into this field have multiple
options to obtain a degree.
• Traditional Learning (face-to-face)
• Online Learning
• Hybrid (Combination of face-to-face and online)
Bowen’s Study
• A study was conducted to determine the effect of student learning
online.
• Students from 6 universities were randomly placed into hybrid
courses or traditional courses.
• The study found that there is no significant difference between the
two methods of instruction.
Online Learning
• Those that are interested in pursuing a career in HR can choose to
pursue knowledge via face-to-face, online, or a combination of both.
• Like many things in the world there are advantages and disadvantages
to online learning.
• Technological skills gained while completing online coursework could
be useful in the workplace.

  • 2. Online Learning Technology is quickly growing and changing. It has made it easier to obtain higher education by allowing people to complete their degrees online. • Quality of the courses depends on the institution, instructor, and the available resources. • Alternative to traditional face-to face learning environment. • Great for individuals with busy schedules.
  • 3. Advantages • Convenience and flexibility • Learn at your own pace • Access learning materials at anytime • Easily accessible from almost anywhere
  • 4. Disadvantages • Employers may doubt authenticity of degree • Institution may lack accreditation • Loss of immediate feedback • Lower sense of community

  • 6. Human Resources • The human resources department is a critical component of employee well-being in any business, no matter how small. • Key areas of focus include training, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and recruiting.

  • 8. Methods of Instruction • People that are interested in going into this field have multiple options to obtain a degree. • Traditional Learning (face-to-face) • Online Learning • Hybrid (Combination of face-to-face and online)
  • 9. Bowen’s Study • A study was conducted to determine the effect of student learning online. • Students from 6 universities were randomly placed into hybrid courses or traditional courses. • The study found that there is no significant difference between the two methods of instruction.
  • 10. Online Learning • Those that are interested in pursuing a career in HR can choose to pursue knowledge via face-to-face, online, or a combination of both. • Like many things in the world there are advantages and disadvantages to online learning. • Technological skills gained while completing online coursework could be useful in the workplace.
