In addition to leading companies from the fittings, surfaces, wood materials,
upholstery materials and machines sectors, we have already received numerous
registrations from small to medium-sized companies – a circumstance that is
already providing insight into the well-known diversity and breadth of what the
interzum offers.
Next year, Hall 6 (decorative surfaces, décor papers, wood materials, laminates,
mineral materials, edging, surface treatments, adhesives, embossing cylinders,
sheet panels) will be all about the returning exhibitors. With Süddekor,
Technocell, Impress, Lamigraf and the two wood materials companies Egger
and FunderMax, this focus will undoubtedly once again become a veritable
audience magnet. “For FunderMax, the interzum 2011 is the perfect setting to
address our target audience within the international furniture industry and to
make our mark with our own innovations at the “innovation trade fair”. It is
not without reason that we have decided to launch our new collection of
décors at around the time of the interzum. We hope to be inspired at this
trailblazing trade fair – but we wish to also provide inspiration,” discloses
Erlfried Taurer, Managing Director of FunderMax.
Hall 4.2 will be dedicated to the topics of lighting and innovative materials. The
presentation focus will lie on innovative applications for interiors. This
attractive mix of well-established companies and start-ups contributes towards
the special charm of this hall. Here, as at the previous event, there will be
special funding by the German Federal Ministry of Economics aimed at
supporting young and innovative companies in Germany to have a stand at the
trade fair. For the second time now, the “innovation of interior” project will be
providing architects and designers with an exclusive look at the latest material
developments and their potential applications. Various focus topics will be
specially presented in an autonomous event zone directly adjacent to the
interzum 2011 trade fair activities.
To date, Hall 5.2 Components & Ergonomics (semi-finished components for
cabinet, kitchen and office furniture, tables and chairs), Halls 7 and 8 Function
& Parts (fittings, locks, furniture components) as well as Hall 9 Machinery &
Technology (machines for upholstery and mattress production) are virtually
fully booked.
Halls 10.1 and 10.2, focussing on Comfort & Bedding (upholstery materials, Page

upholstery accessories, cover materials and leather), once again make the
interzum the world’s largest bedding and upholstery event. With Hall 5.1
Nature & Interior (natural materials – wood, veneer, parquet, interiors), the
interzum reveals its competence particularly in the area of interiors.
Bucking the trend and strikingly in contrast to regional supplier trade fairs,
Koelnmesse is expanding the total exhibition space for the interzum 2011. And
the trade fair will be once again impressively documenting its growing
significance in 2011.
The interzum offers everything you could want for furniture production and
interiors: all at a single venue which has been concisely planned for visitors as a
result of the assortment focuses and staged with flawless timing. At this
hugely-attractive event, highly qualified trade visitors from more than 130
countries come to see and experience global innovations.
In a nutshell: interzum 2011 – the future starts here.
