This portfolio contains examples of work done during a 10-week Business Intelligence training program. It includes projects on data modeling, T-SQL programming, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, MDX query programming, SQL Server Reporting Services, Performance Point Server, and SharePoint Server. Relevant work experience demonstrating skills in these BI technologies is also included. The portfolio contains examples of designing an SSAS cube for a fictitious construction company including calculated members, partitioning, and a KPI. It also includes reports developed in SSRS, PPS dashboards, and an SSRS report deployed to SharePoint.
4. The project is for a fictitious construction company called AllWorks used for the 10-week hands on training from Setfocus, Inc. It includes the design and implementation of a SQL Server 2005 database to track employee and customer information, timesheet and labor rates data, as well as job order information, job materials, and customer invoices. In the client project scenario, AllWorks currently stores this information in Excel Spreadsheets, XML files, and csv files.
7. T-SQL Programming Stored Procedure designed to create a magnified view of the temperature data to be imposed on a graph in SSRS.
8. Select statement joining tables to generate an inventory report. Select of Balancer information for barcodes that are in the balancer results table more than once.
15. Calculated members for the Allworks Cube Partitioning of the tables of the cube into 2 partitions based on 2005 and before and 2006 and beyond to distribute fact tables of the cube for better throughput
16. KPI for an overhead calculation as a % of Total Cost Use of this KPI in an Excel pivot table example
21. Design screen for PPS Dashboards and reports Scorecard report with hot links to analytical chart and grid linked to growth and returns
22. Sharepoint example of an SSRS report that was deployed to sharepoint into a document library
