Ingredients:
For the Garlic Butter Steak:
● 2 ribeye steaks (or any preferred cut)
● 2 tablespoons butter
● 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
● Salt and pepper to taste
For the Cauliflower Mash:
● 1 medium-sized head of cauliflower, cut into florets
● 2 tablespoons butter
● 1/4 cup heavy cream
● Salt and pepper to taste
● Optional: grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
For the Garlic Butter Steak:
1. Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30
minutes before cooking. This helps to ensure even cooking.
2. Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté the
garlic for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes fragrant and slightly golden.
4. Place the seasoned steaks in the skillet and cook to your preferred doneness. For
medium-rare, cook each side for about 3-4 minutes. Adjust the cooking time based on
your desired level of doneness.
5. Once the steaks are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few
minutes before serving.
For the Cauliflower Mash:
1. Boil a pot of water and add the cauliflower florets. Cook the cauliflower until tender,
which usually takes about 8-10 minutes.
2. Drain the cauliflower and transfer it to a food processor or blender.
3. Add the butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper to the cauliflower in the food processor.
4. Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency, similar to mashed
potatoes.
5. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
To serve:
1. Plate the Garlic Butter Steak on a serving dish.
2. Spoon a generous portion of the Cauliflower Mash alongside the steak.
3. Optionally, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley on top of
the cauliflower mash for added flavor and presentation.
