This document outlines a proposal for a peer-to-peer microscholarship program called e-Scholarship Project. The program would allow students in developing areas to create profiles sharing their dreams and goals, and receive direct donations and encouragement from supporters around the world through an interactive website. Donors could see profiles of students and their monthly progress reports. The program aims to provide opportunities for students who otherwise could not afford further education due to family financial constraints. A pilot with 30 students in Bangladesh is proposed to launch in 2010, with plans to expand globally in subsequent years.
