A performing group called the Supreme Summerguard worked hard over many years and won their state championship title four times. However, in their attempt to win a fifth title, some unknown evil began abducting members of the group and changing their behavior and commitment to the team. It is unknown if the group was able to regain their lost members or if they were doomed after that point.

1. Once upon a time…

2. … in a land Pharr, Pharr away…

3. … there existed a little performing group called the “Supreme Summerguard.”

5. The members were very happy and loved to work together.

6. In the very beginning, the “guard” (as they liked to call it), was small and weak...

7. … but each day they would practice because they wanted to be able to go to competitions.

9. Over the years, they worked and worked to make themselves stronger.

10. And slowly, they began to make a name for themselves.

11. The guard would compete and even got promoted levels a couple of times, a very high honor indeed.

12. This tradition of working hard was passed down from year to year, from member to member...

13. ..and after LOTS of that hard work, they came to win the State Championship…

20. … but a total of FOUR TIMES!!

22. How did they win? Well, remember, they practiced, paid attention in class, and simply worked their butts off!!

25. Unfortunately, the year they were going for the fifth title, something was going terribly wrong!!

26. Some unknown evil was abducting the members, and when it returned them, their behavior was completely awry!!

27. (Oh, awry means “wrong” by the way)

28. They acted as if their purpose in the guard meant nothing to them.

29. As if they were in the organization simply to waste precious time.

30. Deep down inside, they knew that their behavior and attitude were wrong, but this merciless evil was making them be unbending.

31. It’s too bad no one really knows what happened to that guard.

32. Were they able to retrieve their “lost” members?

33. Or were they doomed from there on?

34. If you ever see this evil overtake your guard, do whatever it takes to stop it!!
