### How to calculate your BMI

1. 1. STEP 1 Multiply your height in inches times your height in inches.  For example: If bob is 70 inches tall, multiply  70 x 70 = 4900
2. 2. STEP 2 Divide your weight by the number you arrived at in Step 1.  4900 is the number we got from step 1.  So we divide Bob’s weight (180 pounds) by 4900  180/4900 = .0367
3. 3. STEP 3 Multiply the number you came up with in Step 2 by 705.  .0367 is the number we came up with in step 2.  To find Bob’s BMI just multiply .0367 x 705.  .0367 x 705 = 25.89
4. 4. Compare your results to the chart below  BMI of 19 or below: You’re considered underweight.  BMI between 19 and 24.9: You’re in the healthy range.  BMI between 25 and 29.9: You’re considered overweight.  BMI of 30 or greater: You’re considered obese.
