Welcome Slide: Introduce webinar and format: the webinar will cover opportunities in Germany as well as information on applying for funding and working with Cultural Vistas and DAAD. Presentation will be available following webinar and after completion of survey.
Cultural Vistas focuses on professional and vocational exchange programs – our programs offer substantial support networks for individuals abroad. Focus is on a diverse array of program participants. DAAD is funded by German Government and has a large amount of funding – focus on giving away a higher number of grants.
11 of 16 states have no tuition, max is euro 500 per semester
Germany has a high quality of life and many paid benefits that interns can benefit from such as public transportation services, health care, and cultural enrichment.

Fellowships offer various amounts of funding and are usually competitive or have more requirements/barriers to entry. Placements are a service and every effort is ensured to provide financial support for unpaid internships. CV Scholarship Fund and language stipends awarded on basis of need to participants in Internship Programs.Common Mistakes: students must want to go to Germany and be able to express that! Other: poorly written essays, misguided statement of purpose/intent, applicants should contact a DAAD Young Ambassador for information when applying for programs or attend an info session/webinar.
