Protein - protein interaction Proteomics Platform The attached slide presentation describes a high throughput screen for the study of protein - protein interactions under a variety of conditions.  The assay design is derived from a general screen for protein identification that was developed to replace Western blot analysis, and provide quantitative data, using a standard curve, when standards were available. The basic design involves trapping the protein onto a solid support, using a monoclonal antibody, so that the protein molecules are trapped uniformly, allowing the protein to be quantized, even bound to other proteins or ligands.  If a monoclonal antibody to the protein is not available, the protein can be bound via its his tag or other epitope, to insure a uniform presentation to the binding proteins in the next assay steps.
