Tip: How to enable wireless debugging with Android?
- 1. Wireless Debugging with Android @sarat architect, experion technologies
- 2. no more damaged cables and USB ports
- 3. get rid of wires and go wireless
- 4. Setup
- 5. Setup • Connect your device over USB port • Enable USB debugging if prompted • Make a note of your IP of your device (See this by tapping on connected wireless network under settings) • Now fire up your terminal
- 6. Setup ~ $ cd ~/android-sdks/platform-tools/ ! platform-tools $ ./adb tcpip <port> ! platform-tools $ ./adb connect <device ip>
- 7. Example ~ $ cd ~/android-sdks/platform-tools/ ! platform-tools $ ./adb tcpip 5555 * daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 * * daemon started successfully * restarting in TCP mode port: 5555 ! platform-tools $ ./adb connect 192.168.1.2 connected to 192.168.1.2:5555
- 9. Open up your favorite IDE (Eclipse or Android Studio)
- 10. See it in action!
- 11. Done? Now switch back ~ $ adb -s <device ip>:5555 usb
