1. Microsoft Account (Skip you already have one)
Our lab environment utilizes your personal Microsoft account. If you already have a Microsoft account, you
can skip this step.
A Microsoft account is not limited to a @outlook.com, @live.com, etc. but can be any Microsoft account that
has been linked to your email address. This includes, but is not limited to Office Accounts, Xbox accounts, and
more.
To create a Microsoft account please visit https://aka.ms/NewMsAccount and create a free profile.
Do not use your work credentials for the lab environment.
Student Lab Environment
For all labs during this course, we will be using Learn On Demand. Please visit http://aka.ms/StudentLabs and
sign in using your personal Microsoft account.
Upon sign in select Redeem Training Key and enter the key that is listed on the presenter’s screen. Launch the
lab named Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals.

2. Navigating Learn on Demand Environment
A Virtual Machine Tools
Keyboard shortcuts will not work in your virtual machine. If you need to copy or paste text,
ALT +T, or any other action, use the lighting bolt icon in the top left-hand corner of your
window. Select the monitor icon to adjust the screen size if needed. Tip: Change the display
settings of your virtual machine by right-clicking on the desktop and select “display settings”.
B Instruction Panel
• To mark a step as completed, check the box to the left and your progress will be updated.
• To type text, place your cursor and select the and the text will automatically be typed.
• To open a web browser, select the and the webpage will open in a new tab/window.
C Navigation Bar
Use the navigation bar to toggle between lab setup and lab instruction pages.

3. Azure Pass Redemption
AI-900 includes a $50 USD Azure Pass Credit. The steps to redeem your Azure Pass are listed on the right-
hand side of the Lab Virtual Machine.
Upon logging into the lab, select next on the instruction tab until you see Creating a Microsoft Azure Pass
Subscription. You will need to use your personal Microsoft Account. Do not use your work credentials
for the Azure Pass.
The Azure Pass is Valid for 30 day or until the $50 is spent, whichever comes first.
Step 1: Redeeming a Microsoft Azure Pass Promo Code
1. Open a browser and navigate to: https://www.microsoftazurepass.com. (It is recommended you close
all browsers and open a new In-private Browser session. Other log-ins can persist and may cause
errors during the activation steps.)
2. Click the Start button to get started.
3. Enter your personal account login information and select “Sign In”
4. Click “Confirm” if the correct email address is listed.
5. Enter your promo code that is listed under the Resources tab in the Promo Code box and click “Claim
Promo Code.” (Note: It may take up to 5 minutes to process redemption.)
Step 2: Activate your subscription
1. When the redemption process above is completed, you will be redirected to the sign up page.
2. Enter your account information and click “Next.”
3. Click the agreement check box and click the Sign up button. (Note: It may take a few minutes to
process your request.)
4. Your Azure Pass is ready.

4. SkillPipe E-Book
This course utilizes SkillPipe to provide an e-book to supplement your learning. A SkillPipe code
was sent to your email used to register. Please redeem that code at www.skillpipe.com.
If you have not created an account with SkillPipe in the past you will need to do so before
redeeming your code. We recommend that you use your personal email address to create an
account as you now own your SkillPipe material and will receive all updates automatically.
If you did not receive a SkillPipe code please check your spam as it might have been directed
there. However, if you did not receive a code, you will need to contact support at
https://esisupport.microsoft.com.
