   When you think of selling online, clients
    are more drawn to the substance and
    quality of your content.

   Content Marketing requires both
    patience and effort to produce the best
    results.

   It’s a lot of work.

   But if you take time to create valuable
    materials, the results will be rewarding.
   A lot of content marketers also
    choose to create and share
    information through other media.

   It is not enough to use only a single
    technique to score more clients.

   Diversifying is always the key to
    succeed both in business and life.

   And how can a business owner
    diversify?
Establish A Concrete Foundation

   Start by creating an excellent site.

   You can also do guest postings for other
    popular blog sites.

   In other words, set up your content
    marketing program first before trying
    something else.
   When you have done that, think of
    other ways to get more clients and
    make business with.

   How?
Go to Twitter

   Many business owners join Twitter
    to acquire more clients and promote
    their business.

   But most of them are not sure how to
    use it to achieve those results.

   Here’s how:
1.   Click into the search box in the
     Hootsuite dashboard.

    The same thing can be done in Twitter
     console.

2.   Look for phrases that match the
     services you offer.

    Sift through the results and find
     tweets that match people for your
     services.
3.   Lastly, click through on the blogs
     from tweets that match your criteria
     and do any of the following:

    Make a comment.

    Send a message using
     the contact form.

    Send an email if the address is
     available.
   The idea is similar to cold call sales.

   Sending cold tweets (for the lack of
    term) works way better than relying on
    content marketing alone.

   Remember the saying, “Two heads are
    better than one.”

   This idea came from a newspaper article
    about a business owner who used blog
    posts to get more clients.
   He had a difficult time with it and had
    not landed as many clients as expected.

   He eventually decided that content
    marketing was not for him.

   He thought that spending time doing
    cold calls is the best way to land more
    clients, than writing two or more hours a
    week for a blog content.

   This may not be always true for all. So
    you may opt to choose the alternative.
Using Content Marketing As A
Marketing Strategy Tool

   This alternative will make use of your blog
    post as one of the many tools in your
    marketing bag.

   Great content serves as a base for a great
    internet marketing strategy.

   When you have established that, you can
    find other ways to reach prospective clients
    through other social media like Twitter.
   Using Twitter to contact potential customers is more effective when they are
    forwarded to your web content that shows your expertise.

   Cold calling will be successful when you have a well-designed website that
    shows a collection of your best work.
   Take all of these in mind before giving up on content marketing.

   The main thing to create an effective marketing program is to utilize as many tools as
    you can.

   These tools work hand in hand or vice versa to achieve your goals.
