The largest of the Inns, it covers 11 acres. Lincoln's Inn is able

3. The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple
Inner Temple Total Membership: 8,000+
The Inner Temple was a distinct society from at least 1388,
although its precise date of founding is not known.

4. The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple
Middle Temple Total Membership: 5,000+
The Middle Temple’s earliest surviving records of its
governing body, or Parliament, date back to 1501.

5. The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn
Gray's Inn Total Membership: 5,500+
Law clerks and their apprentices have been established on the
site since at least 1370, with records dating from 1381.
