The document discusses concerns about a proposed development called Indian Hills VI and its potential impacts on traffic safety in the existing Indian Hills neighborhood. It notes the neighborhood currently has low traffic and is pedestrian friendly. It asks the city to consider options to reduce transient traffic on Indian Hills Drive due to safety issues from increased traffic related to the new development's high housing density. It also requests that a temporary barrier remain on Indian Hills Drive until the planned connection of Blaine Street to East Palouse River Drive is completed, in order to redirect traffic and avoid making Indian Hills Drive a thoroughfare.

48. The IHTF is happy that the Thompsons chose to actively support the placement of the barricades on Indian Hills Sixth in the application. The neighbors recognize that the Thompson family is receptive to their concerns.
49. Excerpt from application: The Applicant supports the neighbors desire to have temporary barricades located on Indian Hills Drive; one at the currently stubbed location and the other barricade located at the east end of the lot just east of the Poloma Drive intersection. This would provide for a hammerhead turnaround for emergency vehicles and also address the through traffic concerns of the existing neighbors until such a time as Blaine Street is connected through to Palouse River Drive.
