ran on a progressive die

18.  Types of torsion springs…
 Helical Springs
› Typically used to store energy and subsequently release it, to
absorb shock, or to maintain a force between contacting
surfaces
› Uses: clothespins, ratchets, counterbalance mechanisms, and
motor and pump assembly
 Torsion Bar
› Used in the suspension systems of most automobiles and military
vehicles
 Double Torsion Springs
› Made of two coil sections connected together. The two parts
each build up their own levels of torque, and the whole unit has
a torque level double that of a regular torsion spring

24.  D-Rings are used in hanging applications and
clip attachments. In this formation, a plate is
screwed over middle to assemble it for end
use
 Half formed D-Rings are also available
 A common run for these springs are between
20,000 and 150,000 pcs

applications. Usually made of spring steel
and can be any shape and/or size
 Flat springs, brackets, clips, flat terminals,
or any stamped and formed metal
components are natural candidates for
our fourslides
 A common run is 50,000 pieces

create a tool for these jobs
