located in the south of Colombia, Pasto is a very
religious city, you can find many pretties and interesting
places to visit, such as the majestic Sanctuary of Nuestra
Señora de Las Lajas and the lake La Cocha, I consider my
city is the coldest place in Colombia, most people wear
warm clothing like a scarf, shelter and boots.
14. Near to my city we have one volcano called Galeras is located
a few kilometers from the city of Pasto, this is one of the
Colombia’s most frequently active volcanoes. Crafts are an
important tradition in Pasto, leather; ceramics and wood
constitute the historical legacy of the city. The best time to
visit my city is during the black and white carnival in this
celebration you can find parades, dancers and musicians,
thousands of people come from all over the country; maybe
this event is the most popular in Colombia.

so Pasto city is capital of
department of Nariño, also
Ipiales is colder that Pasto,
with regard beautiful

The city of Ipiales is visited by the sanctuary of Lajas; Pasto
attracts many tourists for its large of black and white carnival;
Ipiales consume more the guinea pig than in Pasto as typical
food of your region.
In Sandona equal that Pasto, Ipiales also celebrate the carnival

it is the capital of Nariño

19. THE COMPARISON OR COMPARISONS MADE
ABOUT THE CITIES.
Pasto vs Sandoná
In Sandoná, it is also celebrated the Blacks and Whites’ Carnival as well as in the capital, but
in Pasto, it is the best because it allows to see many and many crafts, diversity of
representations and culture, in change here, there are a very few floats and it is really
smaller. Although in Pasto is developed the most interesting Carnival than any other
surrounding small town, I prefer enjoy it here in Sandona because I like to be with my family
and friends and also because, in here is more peaceful than Pasto.
Ipiales vs Pasto
Reading your contribution, I can refer that Ipiales is colder than Pasto, I think so, because I
have been over there and by the way, in a raining day. But it is great, you have the
opportunity to go to Las Lajas whenever you want, because it is closer from Ipiales than from
Pasto, it sounds good.
Sotomayor vs Sandoná
Sotomayor is warm around 24 degrees and comparing it with Sandoná, Sotomayor is warmer
than Sandoná because it is warm but just around 19 degrees however in your hometown is
also cultivated the plantain as well as in Sandoná and I can say, too, that from the capital
“Pasto” Sotomayor is farther than Sandoná. By: Alexandra Díaz
