2. INTRODUCTION
Medicinal plants have attracted the interest of scientists all over the
world, particularly in search of effective and safe remedies for incurable
diseases like AIDS, cancer and immunophysiological disorders.
Zingiber officinale and Curcuma longa have been used as herbal drugs
by local inhabitants from ancient time and even today.
The use of plant extracts and phytochemicals both with known
antimicrobial properties can be great significance in therapeutic
treatments. In the last few years, a number of studies have been
conducted in different countries to prove such efficiencies. The present
study was conducted due to these effect.
3. OBJECTIVES
To study the potentials of plant extract.
To check the anti microbial activity of plant extract.
To find out whether C. longa and Z. officinale shows many
antimicrobial activity.
To detect the presence of phytochemicals in C. longa and Z.
officinale.
