Murungakkai Thovayal
Ingredients
8 nosdrumstick
3 gms mustard seeds
8 gms urad dal
Salt to taste
8gmsBengal gram dal
1 sprig curry leaves
30 gms grated coconut
10 gms tamarind
5 gms dry red chillies
Pinch asafoetida
15 ml refined oil
Method
Boil drumstickswith sufficient water in a pan, drain scrape outflesh and set
aside.
Heat oil in a frying pan add mustard seedslentils, dry red chillies, and
asafoetida, toss gently until the lentils the turnsgolden, remove from heat.
Add grated coconut, drumstick and tamarind blend itto a fine paste.
Serve hot with rice and ghee.
