The Augustine is created from a complex of seven buildings, many of which have historical significance , including former St. Thomas’s brewery and the 13th century Augustinian St. Thomas’s Monastery, after which the hotel is named.. The Augustine, listed on the UNESCO heritage list, is the only hotel offering the “Sense Of Place” experience in Prague . Several practising monks still live in separate part of the monastery, adjacent to the hotel grounds

Subdued lighting and terra-cotta floors take you to the ages when Prague’s locals gathered for a pint in the famous St. Tomas Pub to celebrate and lament and beer flowed freely until the early hours of dawn. Having returned this pulsating ambiance the historic cellar bar that was also the birthplace of the St. Thomas beer, the Brewery Bar has also brought this renowned beer back to life . For your sheer enjoyment our dark St. Thomas beer is complemented with a mouth-watering selection of Bohemian-style tapas and specialty microbrews from across the country.
