Although all the titles have different tracking
and leading and are different sizes and
shapes, I have made sure that my film title
design is kept the same on the poster,
magazine and trailer. This is to make it
familiar with the target audience so they can
fix the image in their head and to provide a
clear message of what the film is called. If I
was to change this on each different
promotional product the audiences would
become confused, so showing this continuity
gains not only a bigger popularity as people
will remember the image but also a clear and
understanding message to the audience of
the films name which is one of the most
important thing to spread the popularity of
the film.

My main character โEden Northoverโ has
been used in all my designs to show
continuity. Although some have been edited
to look differently the actress is present in
all three products. This is to again ensure
the audience remember the actress giving
not only her popularity but the film itself as
her face will be remembered. As she is a
pretty young girl the uses and gratification
of personal identity will come through as
audiences will look up to her looks and be
interested in her as an actress, researching
into her past and speaking about her which
promotes the film further. The dyers star
theory also comes into this continuity as if
the actress has been in other films and is
popular, audiences will recognize her in
each product making them want to watch
her again in another film.

As the production is a horror I have
used dark colours such as greys,
blacks, whites, browns and reds in
each product especially in the poster
and the magazine. I used this to
present to the audience the horror
present in the trailer and film. By this
colour scheme through parts of the
trailer also shows that the film is going
to be scary, thrilling and physiological.
This continuity shows the audience
what the plot, story and film is all
about and what it is going to involve
for example: If they all had lots of red
it would show to the audience that it is
going to be more of a gory/slasher film
rather than the greys, whites and
blacks that I have used to show a
supernatural physiological film.
