The early era of music videos began in 1965 when music was first merged with film. This was pioneered by George Thomas who synchronized a live music performance with projected images. The Jazz Singer in 1927 was a breakthrough as the first film with both audio and images, allowing performances to be recorded rather than just live. • with the rise of you tube music videos were uploaded over

• YouTube was an online platform for anyone to upload their
work and become popular .
• Music was easily and freely available, consumers no longer
needed to rely on cd’s .
