indigenous handicrafts, they all share the same aboriginal style, creating the one-of-a-kind
atmosphere.

Since ancient times Wulai’s hot springs have been so well known that when travelers say they are
heading into the mountains to visit hot springs, Wulai is the first place that comes to mind. Hot
springs are an important part of life for the Atayal, and the word “Wulai” even refers to a boiling
hot spring in their language.
自古以來，烏來的溫泉已經眾所周知，當遊客進入山區泡溫泉時，第一個想到就是烏來。溫泉在泰
雅族人生活中占有很重要的部位，「烏來」在泰雅語的意思指的就是滾燙的溫泉水。
After just a short time in Wulai you quickly realize that there are more places to see in addition to
the old street. Wulai’s mountainous topography offers stunning scenic features, including the
Wulai and the Wuchong River waterfalls. Settlers to the area also built infrastructure that has
since become tourist attractions, such as the Wulai Suspension Bridge, the tourist railway, and
the cable car. There is so much to do in Wulai, from cable car trips where you can admire
waterfalls while in mid-flight, to suspension bridges that feature green river valley scenery on
each side. These are the classic way to enjoy the beauty of Wulai.
走訪烏來很快就意識到，除老街之外還有更多地方可以參訪。烏來山勢地形提供了迷人的風景名勝，
包括烏來瀑布和五重溪瀑布。該區所需的生活基礎設施，諸如烏來吊橋，台車和纜車，也已成為旅
