WELCOME
2016
Welcome to the 29th
annual Florida Print Awards, a
celebration that showcases the outstanding printing
work created by our members. We are thankful to all that
participated in this year’s competition.
The judges were once again very impressed with the print
quality of this years’ pieces. Their job of choosing the best
was proven to be a very difficult task.
Florida printers were also successful on a national scale
in the Printing Industries of America Premier Print Awards
contest. 43 entries by 18 companies won awards. Associated
Printing Productions, Inc, Designers’ Press, Progressive
Communications and The Color Express won the prestigious
Best of Category “Benny Award.”
We would also like to thank our generous sponsors of the
trophy awards for their continued support of PAF.
Thank you for joining us as we celebrate printing excellence
in the state of Florida. We proudly display your quality work
in this winners booklet and in the Hall of Winners.

START GETTING READY NOW FOR THE
2017 FLORIDA PRINT AWARDS
As you look forward to participating in the 2016 competition, we
offer the following suggestions to make it easier for you to enter:
• Gather and carefully examine a job immediately upon
completion. Don’t wait until you receive your annual
“Call for Entries” and then go to your sample area to see
what is available. By setting aside samples throughout
the year, as jobs are completed, you can be sure you are
within the dates of production to qualify.
• Set aside four or five samples of a potential entry.
• Have a “qualified” person or committee examine the
pieces to see if they meet competition standards.
• Secure these potential entries in a location that is
strictly hands-off to everyone.
• When entry time arrives, review what category or
categories into which the piece should be entered.
It is not unusual for a given piece to qualify for entry
into several different categories, thus increasing the
potential for it to receive an award or multiple awards.
Good luck! We look forward to seeing you at the awards banquet next year!
