Application
FSR-01 shrink force and ratio tester is used for the shrinking forces and shrinkage ratio
measurement of heat shrinkable films.
Heat shrinkable film is normally extruded and stretched (hot drawn) during manufacture and
it remains in this state after cooling down. When the film is again brought up to the
temperature at which the stress was induced and then fixed during its manufacture, this
stress is liberated and the film shrinks back. Depending on the treatment applied, the film is
called biaxially oriented or uniaxially oriented.

Technical Features
It's a PLC controlled unit (industrial level stable) and HMI touch screen operated.
1. Air oven is well insulated and automatic lowering and lifting.
2. Non-contact way of shrink ratio measurement.
3. Real time display of shrinking force, contracting force and shrinkage ratio.
4. Absence of irrelevant interference factors like friction, cool air, etc.
5. Stable and balanced heating system.
6. Easy sample loading.
7. High resolution force transducer and thermometer.
8. RS 232 port and professional software(optional).
Test Process
A well-insulated air oven is heated to the set temperature. The
two samples are placed separately on two test stations, for
shrinkage rate and shrink/contraction force testing.
A temperature probe is located to measuring area, to give
result as reference temp. The air oven is driven down
automatically to cover the sample area. The force and shrink
rate are to be measured and the shrinkage temperature is
reached when the maximum shrinking force is attained.
When this force has decreased by around 15%~30%, the air
oven is lifted and time is recorded.
The assessment of shrinkage ratio is performed at the mean time.
