GROUP 04: COLOUR SYSTEMS: SUBSTRACTIVE AND ADDITIVE COLOURS

2. COLOUR
Colour is an impression made by the organs of vision. Colours
can be classificated principally in subtractive colours and
additive colours.

3. SUBTRACTIVE COLOURS
The subtractive colour are the basic ones that we use to print.
The printer mix them to make all the colours we need to print
something. Subtractive colours are the most used colours in the
history.

4. The primary colours of this type are: the cyan, the
magenta and the yellow. Suming this colours you can
produce other colours that are called secondary colours,
which are: the blue (cyan and magenta), the red (
magenta and yellow), the green ( yellow and cyan)

5. ADDITIVE COLOURS
The addictive colour or light colour is a phenomenon that is
produced when we sum two or more colours and it produced a
lighter colour. You can perceive it in televisions or monitors,
this two objects are the most common.

6. The primary colours are: the blue, the red and the green.
Suming this colours we can produce other colours that are
called secondary colours, which are: the yellow(green and red),
cyan (blue and green), magenta (blue and red).
