• Attitude is a specific mental state of an individual towards something
according to which his behaviour towards it is molded.
• An attitude is “A relatively enduring organization of beliefs, feelings,
and behavioural tendencies towards socially significant objects,
groups, events or symbols" (Hogg & Vaughan 2005, p. 150)

8. Effect of attitude on behavior
• Attitude act as motivating force for human behavior
• Attitude can modulate behavior in positive and negative way
• Attitudes are infectious and can affect the people that are near the
person exhibiting a given attitude, which in turn can influence
their behavior as well.
