Congratulation
Congratulations to Sr. Mary Olivia Kelly, Drumiskabole, Carraroe who
took her final profession of vows with the Carmelite Community in Knock
on Saturday Morning. The special ceremony was celebrated in the
Carmelite Convent with family and friends. Sr. Mary Olivia is now a full
member of the Community and We wish her every blessing in the future.
Partners in the Gospel
lay people are invited to apply for a new ministry in the diocese, Volunteer
Catechist. Successful applicants will undergo a four year training and
formation programme and, on completion, will be formally commissioned as
official leaders of faith-based education programmes and opportunities for
partnership in mission with the priests and parish communities. More

Coffee Morning for North West Hospice
It takes place on Thursday 15th
September and all funds raised locally stay

Missionary Talk
Tues 6th Sept at 8pm in the Presbyterian Church Hall.
A Visitor's Evening focusing on Missionary Work in Brazil.
Everyone (including young people and men) are invited along to hear the
special speaker Naomi Keefe, an Irish missionary, who has worked in Brazil
for over 11 years. Naomi has an amazing story of endurance and
selflessness working with the 'rubbish tip' communities.

Parish Choir
The Parish Choir will be shortly returning after the
Summer break. New members are always welcome.
Rehearsals will begin in September on Monday evening
at 8pm in the Church. The Folk Choir helps with the
11.30am Sunday Mass. New member should contact the choir
before Mass on Sunday at 11.00am.
Tobernalt Holy Well
The Autumn period is very evident at the Holy Well. Here we
can experience the presence of God in nature and reflect on our
spirituality.

Ballintogher Traditional Festival
Held in October 2016, there will be a focus on 1916 and the War of
Independence. We are gathering information on local people who were
involved or who may know of others who may have any information on any
aspects of the War of Independence (1916 to 1921) to have a commemorative

Pre- Marriage Course - Accord Sligo
If you are getting married now is the time to do your Pre-Marriage by

be booked at least 3 - 6 months in advance of the wedding.
Community Centre
Groups wishing to use the hall should contact the Parish Office for further
information and details. Most groups are resuming after the Summer
period. A new Kitchen has been installed at the centre during the Summer
and necessary work was carried out on the pluming work in the kitchen.

Bereaved
