NewSacristan for Our Church
After many years oflong, dedicated and faithful service to our Church Evelyn
and Martin Scanlon are retiring as Sacristan. We can only imaging the
number of hours both have given to the welfare and care ofthe Church and its
smooth operation. As a faith filled Community we are in debt to them. The
retirement means that a vacancy exists for a newSacristan at our Church. We
are looking for someone in our Community who would be willing to give some
time to the Church and help with its smooth operation. A good sacristan is the
"lifeblood", ofthe local Church. Please contact Fr. Jim for further
information. Full training and support will be provided.

2. Summer Prayer
Creator ofall, thank You for summer! Thank You for the warmth ofthe sun
and the increased daylight. Thank You for the beauty I see all around me and
for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation. Thank You for the
increased time I have to be with my friends and family, and for the more
casual pace ofthe summer season. Drawme closer to You this summer. Teach
me howI can pray no matter where I am or what I am doing. Warm my soul
with the awareness ofyour presence, and light my path with Your Word and
Counsel. As I enjoy your creation, create in me a pure heart and a hunger and
a thirst for you.
