Group Activity #1 Sort into your shapes Select jobs Facilitator (leads questioning) Scribe (note taker) Monitor (ensures all participate) Reporter (reports outcome to class) Create your vision of the perfect teacher What attributes would he or she possess? What training? What morals or ethics? What makes him/her special, above and beyond ordinary teachers? When we are done, write down what’s on the board in your notes.
  • 4. Why become a Teacher? In Groups with one shape per group List first 10 reasons that come into your brain when I ask…. “Why do you want to become a teacher?” Add yours to the board We’ll review it together briefly for clarification Keep this list for future journals
