Offering Summary
Fast Digital 4 Discrete Industries (FD4): Joint program between SAP and Capgemini to
drive innovation in the Discrete Industries segment by developing unique solutions using SAP
technologies to address business problems
FD4 for Automotive: Capgemini is the exclusive partner with SAP for “co-development” and
“co-innovation” in the S4 platform for the Automotive Supplier market. The first production
release is targeted for the S4 Public Cloud release mid-year 2019
Automotive Supplier solution on private cloud: Whilst the S4 public cloud solution is
targeted for automotive suppliers with low complexity (typically <500M revenue), the private
cloud solution based on Capgemini’s AutoPath solution set is targeted for automotive suppliers
with high complexity < 2B revenue with complexities of “in-line” sequencing and heavy EDI.

S4 solution options for the Automotive Supplier segment
1. S4 Public Cloud mid-2019 release: Capgemini has an exclusive relationship to “co-develop” and “co-innovate” with SAP S4 development team to bring a multi-tenant
solution in the S4 public cloud. This solution will enable batch deliveries (EDI 850/830/862) for Tier 2/3/x supplier segment. This solution could serve as the small
operation solution for Large enterprise in 2-tier ERP architecture.
2. S4 Private Cloud using Capgemini’s AutoPath solution: Capgemini’s AutoPath solution is an automotive supplier specific S4 solution that offers Sequenced and
Summarized JIT functionality (866/Broadcast) with a broad library of EDI and Labels pre-delivered for majority of the OEMs. This solution will be delivered in a private
cloud (of customer’s choosing) on the S4 on-premise release (thus has all the flexibility to adopt to the customer’s needs). SAP software licenses and Capgemini services
will be bundled in a CAPEX/OPEX or OPEX only model.
3. S4 On-premise for large enterprise: Capgemini’s S4 based AutoPath solution can be used as reference solution or a starting point with Capgemini providing
implementation services as the primary systems integrator.
