9. Leaderships Initiative
Sent e-mails asking for feedback.(McAllister, 2004)
Sat in on group planning times to discuss with grade
levels on progress of wave schedule. (Anderson, 2010)
How are things
going in your
opinion?
10. Resistors- K-2
Classroom teachers.
(Gandz, 2008)
3-5 Classroom teachers
point of view.
Encore teachers point of
view.
Support staff’s point of
view.
“Resistance is a reaction to the emotions being brought
up by uncertainty and fear.” (Bligh, n.d.)
11. Brought to the Table
K-2 teachers offered a change of Encore times
throughout the day.
3-5 teachers were ok with that change happening.
Encore teachers felt that the time they had would be
even more ineffective.
Support staff would have to completely redo all
schedules.
12. Evaluation of Change
Areas done well by leadership:
Communication regarding implementation.
Sitting down to hear concerns and consider feedback.
Areas needing improvement:
Allowing more time for change to take effect.
13. Conclusion
Leadership has showed themselves to be capable and
effective.
Leadership has used many forms of communication
during the change process.
Leadership is continuously reminding us of the purpose
for the change.
Leadership seems to be evaluating and thinking ahead
to changes in the schedule in years to come.
