Our organisation is capable of assisting every event organiser regardless of the scale of their requirements or the complexity of their individual operation. <br />Our venue management strategy involves developing an individual service to match the specific venue requirements that we are discussing by creating a robust plan that can be amended as an ongoing real time working document, this is critical when establishing a team approach towards venue and public safety.  <br />The Company management team has over five decades of collective experience in venue and crowd management, together with our vision to provide customers with the most cost efficient service, without reducing standards of service, or compromising public safety. These principles and constant investment provide the platform and support to enable the company to deliver the service it is committed to, by continually reflecting and improving our operating systems.<br />Our head office is in Enfield, incorporating our NCFE, BIIAB, SITO, City and Guilds approved training centre, with sub branches in Peterborough, and Wales. We offer a broad range of services including consultancy, project management, door supervisors, static security, safety stewards, CCTV operatives and close protection security.<br />Our goal is to assist you in whatever you require we have an established track record in providing personnel for all your needs. Show and Event Security quality system complies with BS registration ISO 9001 UKAS Accreditation, We operate to industry standards, BS 7858, BS 8406 and BS 7960, and are an S.I.A Approved Contractor. <br />Management Team Profile<br />Tony Ball – Managing Director<br />Tony Ball’s name is synonymous throughout the leisure security industry as one that brings with it, quality, professionalism and an unmatched ability to solve and manage the most complex security and safety issues.<br />1998 saw Tony leave ShowSec International to pursue a long held ambition. The result of that ambition is what can now be seen as Show & Event Security.   Tony has long since held the belief that a properly managed portfolio of key clients will raise the standards of crowd, event and venue management to, as yet, unseen heights.<br />Show and Event Security have been responsible for designing and implementing crowd management and safety plans for a wide variety of events held within the U.K. <br />Detailed below are just a few brief highlights from the company event portfolio;<br />Head of security for the Lord Mayors Parade<br />Head of security for V Festival in Chelmsford. 1996 to present day<br />Co coordinated the security and stewarding for the funeral of Diana Princess of Wales.<br />Head of security for MasterCard Global Board attending the World Cup France.<br />Head of Security for the New Years Celebrations held in the centre of London 1999.<br />Head of security for Knebworth Robbie Williams (A crowd of 375,000 over the 3 days).<br />Head of Security for Isle of Wight Festival<br />Head of security for the front of house Live 8 Hyde Park<br />Head of security Milton Keynes Bowl<br />Head of security for Queens 80th Birthday celebrations at Buckingham Palace.<br />Head of security Brits Awards at Earls Court<br />Head of security for Robbie Williams concerts in the UK<br />Head of security for the backstage of the last show at the old Wembley Stadium<br />Head of security for the backstage for the first 7 shows at the new Wembley Stadium<br />Head of Security Tour de France<br />Head of Security New Years Eve media moment on the embankment London 2004 to present.<br />Tony currently holds an NVQ Level 5 qualification in work based learning in Higher Education, Plus a foundation degree in Crowd and Safety Management. Obtained through Buckinghamshire New University and is also studying for his Masters degree.<br />So it is, that, under Tony’s guidance and direction, Show & Event Security aims to work in partnership with other industry leaders to provide a quality of service that fully meets the standards expected by clients and which is delivered by a management team for whom quality of service is uncompromised. <br />Richard Douglas – Operations Director<br />Richard has been actively involved in the event security industry since 1987 when he joined ShowSec International Limited. During his period of employment with ShowSec Richard undertook training at the company training school on a range of subjects that included staff management, crowd safety planning/management and high profile VIP protection. Following which he quickly rose through the ranks to a supervisory position, before moving on to provide VIP protection services for top level international artists.<br />Having spent several years gaining extensive international experience, Richard returned to ShowSec to undertake the challenge of managing their London Area office. He was quickly promoted again to become Southern Regional Manager, responsible for overseeing the London Area, Cardiff, Peterborough and Southampton regional offices. In 1997 Richard left ShowSec to work as a freelance security operative before forming his own company, Assignment Management Services, specializing in Tour, VIP and Special Event Safety/Security. Contracts included acting as Tour Security Co-ordinator for Robbie Williams record breaking ‘Weekends of Mass Distraction Tour’ on which he had responsibility for artist safety and venue public safety standards. He was also responsible for security planning for the Brazilian football legend ‘Pele’ for his MasterCard and Pfizer related activities from 1996 – 2006, when Peles’ sponsorship contract expired. In 2003, Richard made a business decision to leave Assignment and formed RMD Security Management, where he successfully achieved qualification as an approved training instructor and after barely a year of trading he was headhunted by MasterCard International to the position of Director, Global Event Security & Executive Protection. In this position, Richard was responsible for the creation of the MasterCard Global Security Control Centre, operating 24/7 and monitoring and responding to global security incidents; managing business travel security and safety; developing an executive protection and event security procedure and policy and developing crisis management and business continuity programs for the company.<br />Having successfully completed his contracted task, Richard was asked in December 2006 to undertake a new role as European Director – Global Vendor Certification Program. Richard was tasked with assessing the program and overseeing the certification of over 120 existing card manufacturing and personalization sites throughout Europe and 20 new vendor premises. Following the assessment the decision was made by MasterCard to outsource the program.<br />In December 2007, following successfully completing his contract to review the vendor program Richard left MasterCard and re-entered the event security market providing security for the Queen & Paul Rodgers tour and more recently Simply Red before being offered, and accepting, the position of Operations Director in March 2009.<br />Email richard.douglas@showandevent.com<br />Senior Management Profiles<br />Brian Mann – Senior Operations Manager:<br />Joined Show and Event in 1999, starting as an event steward I undertook company training in health & safety, customer care and emergency procedures. I have worked on a wide range of events which gave me the opportunity to undertake further training as a Team Leader and Security Supervision. This allowed me to undertake additional work at high level corporate events were I was responsible for team supervision, safety and security for VIP’s.<br />I have worked on various outdoor events as Team Supervisor and Area Manager, these events included crowd capacities ranging from 100 – 100,000      <br />Crowd Attendances at both purpose built venues and Greenfield temporary sites.<br />I have progressed on to the role of Senior Operations Manager within the company where I have been responsible for tactical operations within a strategic plan. <br />In 2005 I graduated from Buckinghamshire New University with a NVQ Level 5 Qualification in work based learning in Higher Education, Plus a Foundation Degree in Crowd and Safety Management; in May 2008 I gained my SIA Close Protection License. <br />Email brian.mann@showandevent.com<br />Cary Nightingale – Special Projects Manager:<br />Joined Show and Event in 1999; Starting as a steward and quickly progressing to Supervisor to where he has achieved the role of Project manager where he is involved in planning and managing of one off special events and large outdoor concerts.<br />Cary is a respected consultant within the Industry with Clients ranging from TBA Global, Big Group to Robbie Williams of which he has been involved with two world Stadium tours and a World Arena Tour, employed as Tour security consultant and advance venue security coordinator and more recently Head of Security for Fashion Rocks 2007 and Red Bull Air Race 2007.<br />Cary was involved in the pre planning of some of the largest events in the UK, Queen’s Jubilee concerts, Tour de France, Brit awards, UK Hall of Fame, V Festival and New Years Eve celebrations in London, in May 2008 achieved his SIA close protection operative license.<br />Email cary.nightingale@showandevent.com<br />Steve Singh – Operations Manager:<br />Steve joined Show & Event Security in 1999, starting as an event steward, after progressing through the company training programme Steve was promoted to the role of operational supervisor, working on many of the UK’s large scale events, Steve’s knowledge and commitment soon became apparent and was promoted again to the position of operations manager, this involved taking responsibility for the running of the events and being involved in the early planning stages of the events, working with the event’s organisers.<br />Steve has just recently successfully completed a foundation degree in crowd and safety management, graduating in September 2007, in May 2008 Steve Gained the SIA close protection operative license.<br />Email steve.singh@showandevent.com <br />Robbie Naish – Training Manager:<br />Robbie Joined Show & Event Security in 2006, after leaving the forces Robbie joined the Fire service where he was responsible for training and development; he then worked as a freelance Security Trainer and Close Protection Officer where he was involved in personal security for a number of high profile personalities. Robbie has been responsible for developing training programs for Show & Event Security and the Events Industry which includes Front of stage training, first aid, NVQ and Close Protection to name a few. Robbie believes that if you are going to train people then those people should work towards recognized qualifications that will help them develop in the industry. As well as being responsible for the training Robbie likes to keep involved in the operational side of the industry and takes on the role of operational Manager at events working alongside the staff he has trained.<br />Robbie is always looking for new training within the Security Industry thus raising the standards for staff working at the Events.<br />Email robbie.naish@showandevent.com <br />Richard Bennett – Midlands Regional Manager:<br />Responsible for managing the Peterborough office and east midland region in all aspects. Richard began working in the event industry in 1991 as a part time steward while working full time for the post office as an engineer. In 2004 Richard joined Show and Event security working on many high profile events that included The UK section of the Tour De France, V Festival Chelmsford, Bon Jovie and Elton John’s tours, the Isle of Wight festival to name a few, as part of the management team. Richard also has the responsibility for Leicester City Councils Diwali celebrations, the largest attendance outside India, Cambridge Folk festival and Rockingham motor sport stadium, Peterborough United Football Club and Rushden & Diamonds are also managed from the Peterborough office. Richard represents Show and Event Security at Wembley stadium as the contract manager; In September 2007 Richard graduated from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University with a degree in Crowd and Safety management, In May 2008 Richard gained his SIA license in close protection.<br />Email richard.bennett@showandevent.com <br />Pete Waller – Operations Administration:<br />Pete’s early working life was centered on the construction industry; in 1999 Pete joined the newly formed Show & Event Security with his first event being the V festival held at Highlands House Chelmsford. Pete demonstrated from early on his potential for supervision and duly continued to supervise on many large scale events, during his time with Show & Event Security Pete has on numerous occasions been a valued member of the management team working on many prestigious events throughout the UK and has also travelled the world just recently with the Little Britain tour, prior to this Pete performed a close protection role for performers from the music industry. Now working full time from the London office and as well as operational commitments, Pete has the responsibility for office administration. We were also contracted to provide backstage security for all the shows during 2007, 2008 and 2009.<br />BARBICAN CENTRE<br />Show and Event Security have provided the security personnel to the Barbican Centre for over five years.  This has included various requirements ranging from front of house safety staff and security working front of house to backstage security. <br />BUCKINGHAM PALACE<br />Show and Event Security were responsible to provide all staffing requirements for the public events that took place in 2002 & 2006.  This included all static security required for the pre event build up period, security and safety staff on the events days and security to protect the infrastructure whilst it was dismantled and removed over a period of days.<br />ROYAL ALBERT HALL<br />For over seven years Show and Event Security have provided security staff subject to specific requirements to many events taking place at the Royal Albert Hall.  More recently this has included providing security guards direct to the Royal Albert Hall to assist with the duties covered on the full time security rota.<br />SOMERSET HOUSE<br />Show and Event Security have provided their services to Somerset house for over seven years.  We are the official contract company to Somerset House.  During this continuous period the services provided have included all security requirements for public events included static security to protect the premises and infrastructure on a 24hr rota system.<br />O2 GREENWHICH LONDON<br />In 2007 Show and Event Security were contracted to provide backstage security for the O2 arena this involves all aspects of artist security and working closely with the venue management team. In doing so, it will provide a flexible approach to client-specific training allowing, as it does, the integration of new, perhaps unique, modules without compromising the underpinning minimum National Standards.<br />The company’s training division provides training to comply with the standards set by the regulating body including NCFE, BIIAB, EDEXCEL, NVQ, and Buckinghamshire New University.<br />All of our trainers have an approved teaching qualification including the A1 assessor award as well as, most significantly operational management experience. The course is 150 hrs of guided learning, which involves the candidate working on there own personal portfolio, where they are required to complete assignments, and carry out research into the relevant subjects. In the meantime, however, enclosed are the Company Health and Safety Policy.<br />C & L Partners provide a tightly monitored audit system specifically for Show and Events Health and safety matters.  This includes a yearly inspection of both the office premises and procedures being carried out at event sites.  The inspection is clearly documented and readily available to any client should they wish to view the contents. Using prior experience at events and knowledge of current legislation and government guidance Show and Event Security Ltd would propose to:<br />Attend inter-agency planning meetings, safety advisory groups, and other appropriate meetings to ascertain and clarify the roles and responsibilities of all agencies that may have an input to the safe planning and operation of the project.<br />Assist in the formulation of a “memorandum of understanding” which would clearly define roles and responsibilities between all parties<br />Assist with the event risk assessment & collation of risk assessments from all relevant parties.<br />Provide method statement and statement of intent.<br />Identify safe working practices that comply with Health & Safety requirements.<br />Assist in producing a Safety Policy for Spectators in conjunction with other agencies.<br />Assist in developing emergency procedures to cover;<br />  <br />Contingency plans<br />Liaison with emergency services<br />Command & control<br />Communication network<br />Key roles & responsibilities<br />Evacuation plans<br />Comply with licensing requirements<br />Assist with site planning<br />Recruitment & Employment Policy<br />Show & Event Security employ over 600 event and security personnel.  We take particular care in the recruitment of all employees because we believe it is crucial to providing the level of service our clients require. We have adequate supervisory staff to ensure that all events have a supervisor on site to ensure the smooth running of the event. We recruit locally wherever possible to minimise the time, expense and effort taken by our staff in traveling to and from work. This approach to recruitment is reflected in our advertising for new applicants.<br />In applying to join Show & Event Security each individual must complete a comprehensive application form. All applicants must:<br />Be willing and able to work night and weekend shifts<br />Be able to work as part of a team<br />Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels with diplomacy and tact<br />Be able to use their own initiative and work unsupervised when necessary<br />Above all, meet our client’s requirements and demonstrate flexibility in attitude and approach to their work as and when client needs change.<br />In completing their individual application forms, prospective employees are required to sign a declaration allowing Show & Event Security to check their work history, if they are required to undertake security duties that require a higher level of screening, (BS7858) and also agreeing to undertake a medical examination if required to do so and certifying that the information provided in their application form is true. Any misrepresentation of the facts may result in their immediate dismissal. All event personnel are screened to BS8406, Event services and Crowd Safety Services Code of Practice.<br />Each individual applicant will attend a Company presentation providing full information on the job specification and company profile.  After which if the applicant is confident that they can meet with required standards and job requirements they will be invited to a one to one interview with a member of the management team and then go on to have their application vetted as identified.  Staff will commence their initial involvement with the Company based on a telephone reference vetting procedure and based on a closely monitored probationary period.<br />Those staff working on more sensitive security duties or with children will have a CRB check carried out and undergo vigorous checks on their ten year history.<br />Once all the reference responses have received a satisfactory response and the probationary period has been completed a formal contract will be offered.  No employee will be formally employed unless we are totally satisfied with their vetting procedures.<br />Image & Appearance<br />We believe the appearance portrayed by staff working for the company is critical in providing a professional approach towards the service we give our clients.<br />Our uniform represents a statement that we are different to all other companies, which is why our style has been developed.<br />All staff are provided with Company uniform, providing clear identification as to their specific role.<br />Depending on the event, weather, venue and clients specific request the style of uniform will vary.  Any one of the following options are available, all of which are worn with smart black tailored trousers (ladies may wear black knee length skirt instead) and black polished shoes. Like wise it is not allowed to take photographs for members of the public. Please do not request members of the crew or touring personnel to carry out the above on your behalf. (It is the same as asking yourself).<br />It is against company policy to request from any client, promoter, venue or members of their staff, tickets or passes for any show whilst working. Please understand that the Company relationship with its clients will be damaged if this is done, and the Company will be made aware.<br />It is against Company policy to bring non-Company personnel to work without prior consent.<br />To maintain our professional standard you are requested to arrive for work 15 minutes prior to your call time. Our organisation is capable of assisting every event organiser regardless of the scale of their requirements or the complexity of their individual operation. <br />Our venue management strategy involves developing an individual service to match the specific venue requirements that we are discussing by creating a robust plan that can be amended as an ongoing real time working document, this is critical when establishing a team approach towards venue and public safety. <br />The Company management team has over five decades of collective experience in venue and crowd management, together with our vision to provide customers with the most cost efficient service, without reducing standards of service, or compromising public safety. These principles and constant investment provide the platform and support to enable the company to deliver the service it is committed to, by continually reflecting and improving our operating systems.<br />Our head office is in Enfield, incorporating our NCFE, BIIAB, SITO, City and Guilds approved training centre, with sub branches in Peterborough, and Wales. We offer a broad range of services including consultancy, project management, door supervisors, static security, safety stewards, CCTV operatives and close protection security.<br />Our goal is to assist you in whatever you require we have an established track record in providing personnel for all your needs. Show and Event Security quality system complies with BS registration ISO 9001 UKAS Accreditation, We operate to industry standards, BS 7858, BS 8406 and BS 7960, and are an S.I.A Approved Contractor. <br />Management Team Profile<br />Tony Ball – Managing Director<br />Tony Ball’s name is synonymous throughout the leisure security industry as one that brings with it, quality, professionalism and an unmatched ability to solve and manage the most complex security and safety issues.<br />1998 saw Tony leave ShowSec International to pursue a long held ambition. The result of that ambition is what can now be seen as Show & Event Security. Tony has long since held the belief that a properly managed portfolio of key clients will raise the standards of crowd, event and venue management to, as yet, unseen heights.<br />Show and Event Security have been responsible for designing and implementing crowd management and safety plans for a wide variety of events held within the U.K. <br />Detailed below are just a few brief highlights from the company event portfolio;<br />Head of security for the Lord Mayors Parade<br />Head of security for V Festival in Chelmsford. 1996 to present day<br />Co coordinated the security and stewarding for the funeral of Diana Princess of Wales.<br />Head of security for MasterCard Global Board attending the World Cup France.<br />Head of Security for the New Years Celebrations held in the centre of London 1999.<br />Head of security for Knebworth Robbie Williams (A crowd of 375,000 over the 3 days).<br />Head of Security for Isle of Wight Festival<br />Head of security for the front of house Live 8 Hyde Park<br />Head of security Milton Keynes Bowl<br />Head of security for Queens 80th Birthday celebrations at Buckingham Palace.<br />Head of security Brits Awards at Earls Court<br />Head of security for Robbie Williams concerts in the UK<br />Head of security for the backstage of the last show at the old Wembley Stadium<br />Head of security for the backstage for the first 7 shows at the new Wembley Stadium<br />Head of Security Tour de France<br />Head of Security New Years Eve media moment on the embankment London 2004 to present.<br />Tony currently holds an NVQ Level 5 qualification in work based learning in Higher Education, Plus a foundation degree in Crowd and Safety Management. Obtained through Buckinghamshire New University and is also studying for his Masters degree.<br />So it is, that, under Tony’s guidance and direction, Show & Event Security aims to work in partnership with other industry leaders to provide a quality of service that fully meets the standards expected by clients and which is delivered by a management team for whom quality of service is uncompromised. <br />Richard Douglas – Operations Director<br />Richard has been actively involved in the event security industry since 1987 when he joined ShowSec International Limited. During his period of employment with ShowSec Richard undertook training at the company training school on a range of subjects that included staff management, crowd safety planning/management and high profile VIP protection. Following which he quickly rose through the ranks to a supervisory position, before moving on to provide VIP protection services for top level international artists.<br />Having spent several years gaining extensive international experience, Richard returned to ShowSec to undertake the challenge of managing their London Area office. He was quickly promoted again to become Southern Regional Manager, responsible for overseeing the London Area, Cardiff, Peterborough and Southampton regional offices. In 1997 Richard left ShowSec to work as a freelance security operative before forming his own company, Assignment Management Services, specializing in Tour, VIP and Special Event Safety/Security. Contracts included acting as Tour Security Co-ordinator for Robbie Williams record breaking ‘Weekends of Mass Distraction Tour’ on which he had responsibility for artist safety and venue public safety standards. He was also responsible for security planning for the Brazilian football legend ‘Pele’ for his MasterCard and Pfizer related activities from 1996 – 2006, when Peles’ sponsorship contract expired. In 2003, Richard made a business decision to leave Assignment and formed RMD Security Management, where he successfully achieved qualification as an approved training instructor and after barely a year of trading he was headhunted by MasterCard International to the position of Director, Global Event Security & Executive Protection. In this position, Richard was responsible for the creation of the MasterCard Global Security Control Centre, operating 24/7 and monitoring and responding to global security incidents; managing business travel security and safety; developing an executive protection and event security procedure and policy and developing crisis management and business continuity programs for the company.<br />Having successfully completed his contracted task, Richard was asked in December 2006 to undertake a new role as European Director – Global Vendor Certification Program. Richard was tasked with assessing the program and overseeing the certification of over 120 existing card manufacturing and personalization sites throughout Europe and 20 new vendor premises. Following the assessment the decision was made by MasterCard to outsource the program.<br />In December 2007, following successfully completing his contract to review the vendor program Richard left MasterCard and re-entered the event security market providing security for the Queen & Paul Rodgers tour and more recently Simply Red before being offered, and accepting, the position of Operations Director in March 2009.<br />Email richard.douglas@showandevent.com<br />Senior Management Profiles<br />Brian Mann – Senior Operations Manager:<br />Joined Show and Event in 1999, starting as an event steward I undertook company training in health & safety, customer care and emergency procedures. I have worked on a wide range of events which gave me the opportunity to undertake further training as a Team Leader and Security Supervision. This allowed me to undertake additional work at high level corporate events were I was responsible for team supervision, safety and security for VIP’s.<br />I have worked on various outdoor events as Team Supervisor and Area Manager, these events included crowd capacities ranging from 100 – 100,000 <br />Crowd Attendances at both purpose built venues and Greenfield temporary sites.<br />I have progressed on to the role of Senior Operations Manager within the company where I have been responsible for tactical operations within a strategic plan. <br />In 2005 I graduated from Buckinghamshire New University with a NVQ Level 5 Qualification in work based learning in Higher Education, Plus a Foundation Degree in Crowd and Safety Management; in May 2008 I gained my SIA Close Protection License. <br />Email brian.mann@showandevent.com<br />Cary Nightingale – Special Projects Manager:<br />Joined Show and Event in 1999; Starting as a steward and quickly progressing to Supervisor to where he has achieved the role of Project manager where he is involved in planning and managing of one off special events and large outdoor concerts.<br />Cary is a respected consultant within the Industry with Clients ranging from TBA Global, Big Group to Robbie Williams of which he has been involved with two world Stadium tours and a World Arena Tour, employed as Tour security consultant and advance venue security coordinator and more recently Head of Security for Fashion Rocks 2007 and Red Bull Air Race 2007.<br />Cary was involved in the pre planning of some of the largest events in the UK, Queen’s Jubilee concerts, Tour de France, Brit awards, UK Hall of Fame, V Festival and New Years Eve celebrations in London, in May 2008 achieved his SIA close protection operative license.<br />Email cary.nightingale@showandevent.com<br />Steve Singh – Operations Manager:<br />Steve joined Show & Event Security in 1999, starting as an event steward, after progressing through the company training programme Steve was promoted to the role of operational supervisor, working on many of the UK’s large scale events, Steve’s knowledge and commitment soon became apparent and was promoted again to the position of operations manager, this involved taking responsibility for the running of the events and being involved in the early planning stages of the events, working with the event’s organisers.<br />Steve has just recently successfully completed a foundation degree in crowd and safety management, graduating in September 2007, in May 2008 Steve Gained the SIA close protection operative license.<br />Email steve.singh@showandevent.com <br />Robbie Naish – Training Manager:<br />Robbie Joined Show & Event Security in 2006, after leaving the forces Robbie joined the Fire service where he was responsible for training and development; he then worked as a freelance Security Trainer and Close Protection Officer where he was involved in personal security for a number of high profile personalities. Robbie has been responsible for developing training programs for Show & Event Security and the Events Industry which includes Front of stage training, first aid, NVQ and Close Protection to name a few. Robbie believes that if you are going to train people then those people should work towards recognized qualifications that will help them develop in the industry. As well as being responsible for the training Robbie likes to keep involved in the operational side of the industry and takes on the role of operational Manager at events working alongside the staff he has trained.<br />Robbie is always looking for new training within the Security Industry thus raising the standards for staff working at the Events.<br />Email robbie.naish@showandevent.com <br />Richard Bennett – Midlands Regional Manager:<br />Responsible for managing the Peterborough office and east midland region in all aspects. Richard began working in the event industry in 1991 as a part time steward while working full time for the post office as an engineer. In 2004 Richard joined Show and Event security working on many high profile events that included The UK section of the Tour De France, V Festival Chelmsford, Bon Jovie and Elton John’s tours, the Isle of Wight festival to name a few, as part of the management team. Richard also has the responsibility for Leicester City Councils Diwali celebrations, the largest attendance outside India, Cambridge Folk festival and Rockingham motor sport stadium, Peterborough United Football Club and Rushden & Diamonds are also managed from the Peterborough office. Richard represents Show and Event Security at Wembley stadium as the contract manager; In September 2007 Richard graduated from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University with a degree in Crowd and Safety management, In May 2008 Richard gained his SIA license in close protection.<br />Email richard.bennett@showandevent.com <br />Pete Waller – Operations Administration:<br />Pete’s early working life was centered on the construction industry; in 1999 Pete joined the newly formed Show & Event Security with his first event being the V festival held at Highlands House Chelmsford. Pete demonstrated from early on his potential for supervision and duly continued to supervise on many large scale events, during his time with Show & Event Security Pete has on numerous occasions been a valued member of the management team working on many prestigious events throughout the UK and has also travelled the world just recently with the Little Britain tour, prior to this Pete performed a close protection role for performers from the music industry. Now working full time from the London office and as well as operational commitments, Pete has the responsibility for office administration. We were also contracted to provide backstage security for all the shows during 2007, 2008 and 2009.<br />BARBICAN CENTRE<br />Show and Event Security have provided the security personnel to the Barbican Centre for over five years. This has included various requirements ranging from front of house safety staff and security working front of house to backstage security. <br />BUCKINGHAM PALACE<br />Show and Event Security were responsible to provide all staffing requirements for the public events that took place in 2002 & 2006. This included all static security required for the pre event build up period, security and safety staff on the events days and security to protect the infrastructure whilst it was dismantled and removed over a period of days.<br />ROYAL ALBERT HALL<br />For over seven years Show and Event Security have provided security staff subject to specific requirements to many events taking place at the Royal Albert Hall. More recently this has included providing security guards direct to the Royal Albert Hall to assist with the duties covered on the full time security rota.<br />SOMERSET HOUSE<br />Show and Event Security have provided their services to Somerset house for over seven years. We are the official contract company to Somerset House. During this continuous period the services provided have included all security requirements for public events included static security to protect the premises and infrastructure on a 24hr rota system.<br />O2 GREENWHICH LONDON<br />In 2007 Show and Event Security were contracted to provide backstage security for the O2 arena this involves all aspects of artist security and working closely with the venue management team. In doing so, it will provide a flexible approach to client-specific training allowing, as it does, the integration of new, perhaps unique, modules without compromising the underpinning minimum National Standards.<br />The company’s training division provides training to comply with the standards set by the regulating body including NCFE, BIIAB, EDEXCEL, NVQ, and Buckinghamshire New University.<br />All of our trainers have an approved teaching qualification including the A1 assessor award as well as, most significantly operational management experience. The course is 150 hrs of guided learning, which involves the candidate working on there own personal portfolio, where they are required to complete assignments, and carry out research into the relevant subjects. In the meantime, however, enclosed are the Company Health and Safety Policy.<br />C & L Partners provide a tightly monitored audit system specifically for Show and Events Health and safety matters. This includes a yearly inspection of both the office premises and procedures being carried out at event sites. The inspection is clearly documented and readily available to any client should they wish to view the contents. We have assisted many large and small organisations in achieving a comprehensive crowd management strategy for events ranging from 100 people to up to 150,000 people. The demographics of these arrangements have covered events taking place on public highways, green field temporary venues and permanent venues {i.e. stadiums}. We take particular care in the recruitment of all employees because we believe it is crucial to providing the level of service our clients require. We have adequate supervisory staff to ensure that all events have a supervisor on site to ensure the smooth running of the event. We recruit locally wherever possible to minimise the time, expense and effort taken by our staff in traveling to and from work. This approach to recruitment is reflected in our advertising for new applicants.<br />In applying to join Show & Event Security each individual must complete a comprehensive application form. All applicants must:<br />Be willing and able to work night and weekend shifts<br />Be able to work as part of a team<br />Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels with diplomacy and tact<br />Be able to use their own initiative and work unsupervised when necessary<br />Above all, meet our client’s requirements and demonstrate flexibility in attitude and approach to their work as and when client needs change.<br />In completing their individual application forms, prospective employees are required to sign a declaration allowing Show & Event Security to check their work history, if they are required to undertake security duties that require a higher level of screening, (BS7858) and also agreeing to undertake a medical examination if required to do so and certifying that the information provided in their application form is true. Any misrepresentation of the facts may result in their immediate dismissal. All event personnel are screened to BS8406, Event services and Crowd Safety Services Code of Practice.<br />Each individual applicant will attend a Company presentation providing full information on the job specification and company profile. After which if the applicant is confident that they can meet with required standards and job requirements they will be invited to a one to one interview with a member of the management team and then go on to have their application vetted as identified. Staff will commence their initial involvement with the Company based on a telephone reference vetting procedure and based on a closely monitored probationary period.<br />Those staff working on more sensitive security duties or with children will have a CRB check carried out and undergo vigorous checks on their ten year history.<br />Once all the reference responses have received a satisfactory response and the probationary period has been completed a formal contract will be offered. Like wise it is not allowed to take photographs for members of the public. Please do not request members of the crew or touring personnel to carry out the above on your behalf.
