Current appointment:
Consultant ENT Surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Department of ENT in PSG
Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. Since 2012, I have been a full time
consultant in this 900 bedded multi speciality hospital dealing with all the basic
departments along with all the speciality departments.
Prior appointments:
Senior Registrar- Sinus and Nose hospital, Santhome, Chennai from 2011-2012.This was
part of the fellowship and hands on training under the tutelage of Prof.Thulasidas for
endoscopic sinonasal and skull base surgery.
Experience:
After my graduation from JIPMER I worked in Sinus and Nose hospital for a period of 1
year as a registrar. This is a tertiary care hospital run by Prof.Thulasidas where advanced
surgeries pertaining to skull base were routinely performed in addition to basic ENT
surgeries. I have been working as a full time consultant in the department of ENT in PSG
Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Coimbatore since 2012.. This is a 900
bedded Multi-speciality hospital with an attached medical college, pharmacy college,
physiotherapy and nursing college serving a population of 6 million. The College is

2. recognised by the Australian board and General Medical Council, U.K . The Department
is fully equipped to deal with all emergencies and elective work. I am routinely
performing the day care operations,FESS,Mastoidectomies and other basic ENT
surgeries. In addition to this I perform CSF Repairs, tumour excisions, Optic N
decompressions, Orbital decompressions as and when indicated. My special interests are
in Endoscopic skull base and beyond and phonosurgery. I hope to travel abroad for
training in these fields in the near future.
Teaching Experience:
PSG IMS&R is recognised for undergraduate and postgraduate training. There is an
active teaching programme and a weekly journal club, morbidity mortality-meeting etc.
The department admits 1 MS and 1 DLO candidate per year. I am actively involved in
training of both undergraduates and postgraduates.
