2. Description The Brolga is a large grey crane with a featherless red head and a grey crown. Their legs are grey and there is a black spot under their chin. Females are shorter than males. Their height varies between 100-125 cm.
3. Habitat Brolgas are found in tropical northern Australia south Australia and Western Australia. They live in open wet lands, grassy plains, mud flats, crop lands and creeks.
4. Diet Brolgas are omnivores but usually eat tubers and some insects, crops, molluscs , amphibians and mice.
5. Breeding Brolgas mate for life. They dance leap, flap their wing and squawk loudly. When the female lays the eggs , Both male and female sit on the eggs.
