Natural Surveillance Make all parking areas visible through windows and doors. Screen or conceal dumpsters, but don’t create blind spots. Position main entrances in high-profile areas, this allows for greater visibility. Position cash registers near the front windows, but not directly next to the glass. Avoid fencing, walls, and landscaping that may obstruct visibility or provide hiding places. Ensure any public pay phones are in highly visible areas, remove pay phones completely if possible.
