Amy’s Story is a touching documentary revealing the story of Amy Horman McGee
– A Verizon Wireless employee and Penn State graduate who lost her life as the result
of a domestic violence homicide in 2001.
• In 2006, the Verizon Foundation began a grant partnership
with Penn State to create a domestic violence prevention
training program for Penn State faculty, staff and students
• Penn State Public Broadcasting produced a 60-minute
documentary telling the story of Amy Homan McGee and
distributed it nationally to all PBS Stations
• The documentary includes discussion with domestic violence
victim advocates Mariska Hargitay from Law and Order SVU
and Sheryl Cates from the National Domestic Violence
