The Glass Portrait
When I first started doing my assignment I started with my lines first at the bottom of the paper, then creating the boxes with a ruler, so I had to line it up the way the lecture PowerPoint. Once I finished sketching the boxes; I started sketching the first glass from the lower size box by using the ruler, in order to get that triangle-like shape of the glass. It seem better to use the ruler with this assignment because the sketching wouldn’t line up right is would have been all over the place and not a triangle-like shape. The one problem I had with this assignment what sketching the stand correctly. I was figuring out how to shape bottom of the glass differently to make the drawing look like a martini glass. I figure it out how to create the stand by drawing a circle.
Element: Proportion- The relative size between or within elements or images. This element works by focusing on the sizes and shapes into a drawing.
Principle: Shape- An area that has geometric or organic edges enclosing other elements: color, value, texture, space, and lines.
Line- The trail of a moving point, having length, width and straight or curved.
Story: Once a upon a time, there was a momma glass and a papa glass. They were called Mr. and Mrs. Glass. They live in a mansion glass house with their two glass cat and glass dog. Momma glass wanted to have children as did Papa glass, but Momma glass couldn’t bear any children. Papa glass suggested that they could adopt, but she wants doesn’t want to adopt. She wanted to have a child of her own that she would claim. The next day Mrs. Glass thought about adoption, so she agree with Mr. Glass; they considered adopting a child or two. They went to the adoption agency to look at the other children and they were interviewed. They loved all of them, but there was one child that struck out the most. He is a young child with a great clip piece. He was very fragile, so they wanted a interview him, once he was interviewed they realize he needs a real home with parents, who loves him for what he looks like and who he is. At the end of the interview session, Mr. and Mrs. Glass made their chose to pick Stanley. So Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Glass took a family portrait. As a family together and they were the happiest family ever.
The End.
