A reflective slide-show - the latest version of my Interfaith slide show - which combines images and texts to encourage understadning and appreciation of difference and harmony between peoples of all religions and cultures - a oneness world. This is a dream found at the heart of all the great world religions.
This is a slide-show which features inspiring quotations from a wide range of mainly religious sources. It is designed to encourage thought and reflection, appreciation of difference and positive relationships between communities.
When I give a Relflections On Life Workshop, I design the second Slide Show for a specific group. This version is designed for Inter Faith groups but I adapt it and use slides from it as the \'framework\' for all the workshops. This version is quite \'serious.\' It includes images and quotations not just from the six major religions but also from Bah\'ai, Jain, Rastafarian and Native American sources. I would love to get some feedback and suggestions of other inspiring quotations which I could include.
Many people like watching the original Reflections on Life slide show to de-stress, almost as a meditation. I like to use this version in the same way. It never ceases to inspire me and restore my focus and perspective, especially if things have been getting me down. Life is beautiful. It is mysterious. There is meaning in every incident. We are here to learn and every experience is an opportunity to learn something important and deepen our relationship not just with each other but also with the One from whom we all came and (so I believe) to Whom we will return.
Do send me some feedback, to info@bluelotus.coand invite me to come and give your group or community one of my fantastic workshops.
An introduction to Christian bible names and descriptions for God which are gender neutral and feminine. A workshop presentation developed for the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women in The United Methodist Church and presented at the Women and Worship conference hosted by Philips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, OK.
The Know God, Know Good booklets have been beautifully designed and carefully written to share the names and attributes of God in a way that engages the reader, taking them on a spiritual journey of discovery. Through reading this booklet, we hope that when people understand and internalise the names and attributes of God, it should create a desire to lovingly connect and worship Him. For those who wish to explore more, www.iera.org/god has been created to help them continue their journey.
This is the evolution of man and the wisdom which he is able to acquire along the journey. I am very thankful to be able to share this with all of you. In peace and love,

Where do I come from? Who am I? and Where am I going? Those are fundamental questions that everyone should ask themselves, and honestly try to answer in order to live a plentiful life devoid of fear and doubt. The Urantia Book teachings give us abundant information to answer those questions, presenting us a complete frame of reference extending from the material to the spiritual, in order to get a clear direction going inward toward the Creator or all things and beings, our Heavenly Father. This knowledge of truth guided by wisdom can immensely help us in order to avoid the missteps of evolutionary experience.

We all remain here, as slaves sold to Fate and Destiny, and we are deceived by their allurements…Destiny, the faithful and obedient wife of Fate, is naturally fickle on account of her being a female. She is always bent on mischief and disturbing patience.
Everyone in this world is fond of affluence and pleasures, not knowing that these are only calculated to lead him to his ruin. All individual existences are liable to appear and disappear. All desires are chains to the world, and all worldly beings are constantly seen to be led away to where, necessarily, no one can tell.
The duration of human life in this world is being decreased in each generation in proportion to the increase of wicked acts. The desire of pleasure is as vain as the expectation of reaping fruit from a vine growing in the sky. Yet I know not why men of reason would not understand this truth.

This is a Slide-Show which is used with music in my Community Cohesion workshops. I can provide with music on a DVD from my website.
The slide-show takes 20 minutes and contains over 200 slides. It introduces life on the planet, family and friends before exploring some causes of suffering - war, poverty and global warming.
Some images are disturbing so I would not show this to anyone under 14 years of age. It is really designed for KS4 and older.
Anyone who would like a workshop - and my workshops really do make a difference - can contact me on info@bluelotus.co

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
