2. Iteration
Before we can build anyt hing- web or
ot her media, we need t o know what it is
we are building. We will work wit h your
t eam t o best evaluat e your specific
needs & want s. You will be asked t o
answer quest ions such as providing an
approximat e page count for your
websit e, helping det ermine any required
server side funct ionalit ies, or providing
some example websit e links you might
want t o part ially emulat e. This phase is
brief but vit al, successful go al
definit io n is t he very fo undat io n o f
a successful pro ject .
Planning
Once t he project requirement s have been
t horoughly underst ood on bot h sides we
t hen proceed t o plot t he way forward.
The first st ep is product ion of a websit e
map, which is a visual depict ion of t he
skelet on of t he websit e- it s pages, along
wit h t he life force of t he websit e, which
are t he act ions and user int eract ions
involved. Drilling a lit t le deeper leads us

Creation

4. phase. Our primary websit e design t ool is
Adobe Phot oshop. We’ll present you wit h
a first draft of t he websit e’s home page
as an image for your feedback. Based on
t he decisions reached we’ll t hen apply any
revisions needed. When t he home page
design has been fully approved we’ll apply
t he same approach t o t he ot her websit e
pages. Furt her revisions will be made as
needed unt il you give t he go ahead t o
init iat e t he sit e const ruct ion based fully
on t he represent at ive page images as
described above.
Implementation
The approved websit e page designs will
now be sliced int o much smaller image
component s t o allow coding t o begin.The
front end code is composed mainly of
ht ml/css and .js. This programming
breat hes life int o t he sit e pages in a
st at ic sense, allowing t hem t o exist and
at t ain visibilit y. Just about any websit e
delivered by Big Orange Planet will come
wit h an administ rat ion panel allowing sit e
st akeholder access t o manage all web
cont ent onsit e. Our next st ep is t o bring

debugging has been complet ed we’ll
launch t he websit e and fulfill t he
