A parabolic solar cooker focuses solar energy into a concentrated area using a reflective parabolic shape to heat and cook objects. The authors created their solar cooker out of cardboard, mylar, bolts, and a copper tube, and it reached temperatures of 290 degrees. While it was an educational experience, they note it could have been more effective if they spent more time on the mylar reflector, and warn others may burn themselves if touching the hot copper tube.

We created our solar cooker with cardboard, mylar,
hot glue, bolts, nuts, and a copper tube. We cut out
and glued and bolted everything until we got our
solar cooker.

We could have made our solar cooker more affective by
spending more time making the mylar better on it.

7. Why Would You Want To Create One
You would want to create one because it saves energy and power.It is
also better for the world.

8. Personal Experience
My personal experience is that if you grab the tube you could
burn your hand. It was also fun to make and a good experience.
