All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ name!

Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race,
Ye ransomed from the fall, (2x)
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
And crown … him, crown him, crown him,
Crown him and crown him Lord of all.
Sinner, whose love can ne’er forget,
The wormwood and the gall, (2x)
Go spread your trophies at his feet,
And crown … him, crown him, crown him,
Crown him and crown him Lord of all.
Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball, (2x)
To him all majesty ascribe,
And crown … him, crown him, crown him,
Crown him and crown him Lord of all.
Crown him, ye martyrs of your God,
Who from his altar call; ( 2x)
Praise him whose way of ye trod,
And crown … him, crown him, crown him,

(Congregation is seated)
INVOCATION : Mr. Benin B.R.
To you, O God, we lift up our souls. To you we offer our praise and
prayer, our worship and thanksgiving, even our very lives. Make your
ways known to us. Show us the path on which we should walk. Lead us
in your truth and teach us. For you alone are the God who saves, the God
in whom we trust and the One on whom we wait.
We come before you with thankful hearts. We have experienced your
unconditional love, your care, guidance, protection and providence in
our lives. We thank you for such abundant mercies and blessings upon
us all. We also thank you for calling us all to be co-workers with you in
this world; equip us, encourage us, and lead us.And as we have assembled
here to bless the graduating students and celebrate their achievements,
we pray that your children may feel and be convinced of the significance
of their call. We also thank you God for their lives and praise you that
they are specially chosen and sanctified for your service.
Lord, may your goodness and love be present among us today throughout
this ceremony. Bless us all with the guidance of the Holy Spirit to be in
fellowship with you meaningfully. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You are the source of life and goodness,
Your handiwork delights us,
We praise you for creating us in your own image,
Your care nurtures us,
Your steadfastness upholds us.
Cong: Creator of the universe, with all your saints, we worship
you, we praise you and we give you thanks.
Leader: Jesus Christ, Son of God,
Your coming as the Son of Man astounds us.
Your word of life awakens us,
Your sacrifice on the cross redeems us,
Your rising from the death transforms us.
Cong: Jesus Christ, Son of God, with all your saints, we worship
you, we praise you and we give you thanks.
Leader : Holy Spirit, breath of life,
Your vitality empowers us,
Your fire illuminates us,
Your powerful love strengthens and unites us.
Cong: Holy Spirit, breath of life, with all your saints, we worship
you, we praise you and we give you thanks.
Leader : Glory to you, three in one.
You are surrounded by the songs of the Saints
in heaven and
You are present with us now and forever.
All : Triune God, we adore you and thank you. Amen.
4
PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND ABSOLUTION :
Mr. Viju Wilson
Leader: God professes his everlasting love by sending Jesus Christ, his
only Son to save us and to give us life in abundance. But often we have
forgotten your loving call and failed to live up to your calling. We come
with our shortcomings and failures. Forgive us, cleanse us and accept us
to serve you in spirit and in truth.
Cong : We confess that your call has often been buried within our
louder voices and our own life preferences. We earnestly confess our
sins and beseech your forgiveness. For the sake of your Son who died
for us, forgive us, cleanse us and transform us by your Spirit to live
for you each day, to learn and to serve each other through the grace
of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Leader: God of redemption, you chose us to be stewards of sowing your
Kingdom values. We are called to identify with the brokenhearted and
heal broken relationships on earth.
Cong: We confess that we have failed to remain committed to your
call; we have not understood the depth of your compassion. We have
disregarded others and failed to be good neighbors. We have not shared
with the people the bread of life, the water of life and the light of life.
Lord, forgive us.
Leader: God of unity, we are graciously set apart to be agents of
reconciliation, mutual respect and unity among multi-cultural and multi-
confessional communities.
Cong: We confess that we have failed to heed the guiding voice of
God. Division, dishonesty and exploitation towards the vulnerable
have become the order of the day. Have mercy upon us O God.
Leader: Merciful God, cleanse us and empower us, make us powerful
instruments of ushering your Kingdom values.
ABSOLUTION
Leader: If anyone sins, we have an advocate with God, Jesus Christ the
righteous and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins and not only for our
sins but for the sins of the whole world. Therefore, he who is faithful and
just will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Cong: Thanks be to God. Amen.
4. 5
PRAYER OF INTERCESSION :
Mr. Tiameren Aier
Leader : Creator God, we come to your throne of grace with the assurance
of your promise that whatever we ask for in your name, you will do, so
that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Cong: Lord, give us your grace and courage to intercede.
Leader: Lord, we thank you for your creation with differences of culture,
colour, gender, language and identity. Lord, help us to celebrate these
differences in tolerance.
Lord, in your mercy…
Cong: Hear our prayer.
Leader: Lord, comfort and strengthen those who are gripped by poverty,
weakened by illness, or oppressed by cruelty. May they know your love
and experience your care through us.
Lord, in your mercy…
Cong: Hear our prayer.
Leader: Lord of compassion, whose will is for peace built on righteousness
and justice. We pray for peace in the world; for an end to the violence,
hostilities, bloodshed and displacement. We pray for reconciliation between
individuals, between families, between communities and between nations.
Lord, in your mercy…
Cong: Hear our prayer.
Leader: Lord, we pray for mission activities all over the world; we pray
that the Holy Spirit will guide each mission worker, open doors of
opportunity for them, empower their words and witness, and open the ears
and minds of those who hear the gospel.
Lord, in your mercy…
Cong: Hear our prayer.
Leader: We pray for the alumni of Bethel Bible College that they may be
guided during times of perplexity, strengthened in weakness, granted
wisdom in times of dilemma, and shown grace during situations of
hopelessness. We pray that they will continue to witness your name
faithfully in and through their lives.
Lord, in your mercy…
Cong: Hear our prayer.
Leader: Lord, we are grateful for the life and witness of Bethel Bible
College. We continue to pray for our community, that we may ever grow
in spiritual fervor, academic excellence, and grow to be a community of
integrity, committed to our call and vision. Towards this goal, continue to
grant wisdom and vision to the founders of this institute, the administrative
authorities, the faculty, students and staff. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

CONGREGATIONAL HYMN :
Love Divine
(Congregation is requested to stand)
Love divine, all love excelling,
Joy of heaven, to earth come down,
Fix in us thy humble dwelling,
All thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, thou art all compassion,
Pure, unbounded love thou art;
Visit us with thy salvation;
Enter every trembling heart.
Breathe, oh, breathe Thy loving Spirit
Into every troubled breast;
Let us all in Thee inherit;
Let us find the promised rest.
Take away the love of sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its beginning,
Set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty, to deliver,
Let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Nevermore thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessings,
Serve thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray and praise Thee without ceasing,
Glory in Thy perfect love.
Finish, then, thy new creation;
Pure and spotless let us be;
Let us see Thy great salvation
Perfectly restored in Thee:
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee,
Lost in wonder, love and praise.

GRADUANDS’ RESPONSE TO THE CALL :
Mr. Imtiakum
(Graduands are requested to stand)
Leader: Call for a service is a summon from God to undertake the
obligations of a particular task. It is a divine call to a ‘place of service’ to
others in accordance with the divine plan. God told Joshua: “you must
lead my people; I promise you, everywhere you go, I will be with you. I
will not fail you or abandon you. Be strong and courageous, do not turn
away from my instruction, and you will be successful in everything you
do. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you
wherever you go.”
Graduands: We believe in the greatness of our call and vocation to be
light to the people. We are sure that ‘call experience’ of a minister
determines one’s identity and authority of the message. We are certain
that ‘we are called’ for God’s work and obliged to follow God’s
instructions.
Leader: We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus,
so that we can do good things he planned for us long ago. God has called
us to serve. Jesus measured greatness in terms of service, not status. God
determines your greatness by how many people you serve, not how many
people serve you.
Graduands: We believe in our gracious call to be in God’s service. We
promise to keep the scripture: “Work hard and cheerfully at whatever
you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for
people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your
reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ.”
Leader: Peace is the best example of God’s sovereignty. It is a victory out
of a strong fight against evil. Peace is a state obtained out of the most
responsible action. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be
called the children of God.
Graduands: We believe that God is ‘God of peace.’ We are sure about
our call to be ‘peace makers.’We are really convinced of the scripture:
“the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of
living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
Leader: May your response to the call be acceptable in the sight of God.

HYMN OF COMMITMENT : Graduands 2017
Standing On The Promises
Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call,
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

COMMISSIONING THE GRADUANDS :
The Rt. Rev. Dr. P.C. Singh
(The graduands are requested to stand for the commissioning)
Leader: As graduating students of Bethel Bible College, you are reminded
that when you enter the wider arena of life outside the college walls, you
will be expected to serve Jesus, your Master, following His footsteps to
serve and not to be served. Now, you are invited to make the following
promises as we together join in the act of dedication of our lives for the
greater glory of God and the establishment of His Kingdom on earth.
Do you commit yourself to fulfill your role as ministers of God and dedicate
yourself to ministerial and spiritual well-being of the church? Will you
love, honor and serve the Church and society and be faithful and true to
your responsibilities towards the Church and society?
Graduands: We do and we will by trusting the Lord.
Leader: Will you endeavor always to speak the truth in love by your
commitment to the cause of unity, witness and service and encourage others
to follow Christ, your master and your model?
Graduands: We will do by trusting the Lord.
Leader: Do you surrender yourselves for a dedicated service for those
who are in need in the church and the society at large, as light of the world
and salt of the Earth?
Graduands: We do by trusting the Lord.
Leader: Will you be diligent to frame and fashion your own life according
to the teachings of Christ and give yourselves to lead a prayerful and
disciplined life, so that you will lead by example in word, deed, love, faith
and purity?
Graduands: We will do by trusting the Lord.
Leader: God almighty and the holy congregation are witnesses to your
honest vows today. May God take you beyond your boundaries in
proclaiming and living out the Gospel, and may you be the light and salt
of the world. And may you ever be God’s servants, who deserve His
abundant blessings.

GodAlmighty, we thank you for the lives of these men and women,
called into your service, being sent out today. We commit them
and their ways into your hands, asking for your blessings, wisdom,
and guidance on them and their endeavors, from this time forward,
as they seek to serve you in your Kingdom.
God, our Master, protect them as they go out into a world hostile
towards your vision. Give them faith that perseveres in the midst
of challenges of life, and confidence to boldly speak on behalf of
you in love.Approve their lives that they may be pure lights shining
in the darkness, testaments to your goodness and grace. May they
be vibrant in every way, bearing good fruits, ever growing in the
knowledge of you, joyfully giving thanks to you in all things. Give
them wisdom and knowledge, and fill them with your gifts and
power that they may serve to transform hearts, lives and structures
in a world desperate for your healing touch. Almighty God, this
day, we dedicate them for your service. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER AND BENEDICTION :
Rev. George Livingston Bandi
(All are requested to stand)
Eternal God, God of ages, today we uphold before you the
precious lives of these graduates as they stand at one of the great
crossroads of life. Grant them a deep sense of your presence
wherever their journey leads them. Guard them and guide them
in paths of righteousness, fruitfulness and fulfillment. Teach them
gentleness and humility. While they live and work on this earth,
Lord, empower them to give comfort to those in need by kind
thoughts, words and deeds. Make them instruments of your love,
peace and joy. Build up their steadfastness to walk in the footsteps
of the master all the days of their lives till they hear from you
“good and faithful servant.” We ask these in the name of Jesus
our Lord. Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER : All
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.

As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Forever and ever. Amen
BENEDICTION

blessings and make peace in the world. Now, may the God of
peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit

Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to
shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; the Lord look upon
you with kindness and give you peace. Amen.
