2. Pablo Picasso was born in Málaga in
1881. His father was a painter and a
teacher. Pablo learned with him until he
was 13.
He liked to draw bulls and doves. Then
his father gave him his tools. Pablo
studied art in Barcelona, Madrid and in
A Coruña. But he learned more in a little
Cafe called "Los cuatro gatos", where he
met his artist friends. His big dream was
Paris...
5. He went to Paris in 1900, but it was a sad period. His friend Carlos and his sister Conchita
died, and Pablo couldn´t sell his pictures, so he didn´t have any money. All his paintings
during this period were blue, using all kinds of blue, that´s why it´s called the
BLUE

7. In 1904 he fell in love. He lived in Montmartre near harlequins,
acrobats, clowns... He started to sell his paintings. He felt optimist
so he painted with warmer colours like pink. This period is called...

9. In 1907, with his friend George Braque, he began painting figures that
were made up of cubes, spheres, cylinders, and other geometric shapes.
The paintings looked like someone had cut them up and glued them
back together.Cubists wanted to show the most important parts of the
things they painted. They wanted to show all the sides of an object in
the same picture.
